Another weak performance against a good side.
Still a couple levels below the best in the world. There are many with much superior records in big games, including a couple of our own...
Does not cut it against the cream of the crop. I've been barking up this tree for a long time now. He's scored only 6 against the top teams in the league, 3 of which came against Tottenham in 2 blow outs, and 2 of which came against Everton. The other was against us in a 3-0 blow out. He doesn't score the big goals against the big teams. He's alright against cannon fodder like Norwich etc. Has hardly turned up against the big boys this season.
2013/2014
Arsenal 2-0 Liverpool: 0 goals;0 assists.
Everton 3-3 Liverpool: 1 goal; 1 assist.
Manchester City 2-1 Liverpool: 0 goals; 0 assists.
Chelsea 2-1 Liverpool: 0 goals; 0 assists.
Liverpool 4-0 Everton: 1 goal; 1 assist.
Liverpool 5-1 Arsenal: 0 goals; 1 assist.
Manchester United 0-3 Liverpool: 1 goal; 0 assists.
Liverpool 3-2 Manchester City: 0 goals; 1 assist.
Liverpool 0-2 Chelsea; 0 goals; 0 assists.
You missed out Liverpool vs United, that is, if we are counting ourselves in this.
Ohhh...I included our fixture in the list, unless you're referring to the Capital One Cup fixture. It's only Premier League matches, and in that regard he played once against us at Old Trafford this season.
He scores roughly 83% of his goals against Norwich City, we knew this already.
So.. Now that Liverpool have really opened the door for City to win the title, which is most likely the case now unless some freak results roll out, does Suarez stay with another trophyless season under his belt, or would he move if Real come knocking?
If Real wanted him i think he would have left anyway had Liverpool won the league. If they want him they will get him simple is that.So.. He's staying.
I think this summer will be even harder than the last to hold onto him I'm afraid.
I don't think the issue has ever been whether Suarez would be willing to move to Real, it is whether they actually want him in the first place.
Knowing him he probably has a big grin under there thinking that this will make everybody love him.
Even if he doesn't score another goal against Newcastle he must have the best goal:game ratio of a golden boot winner? And the number of assists must be up there as well. He is the best striker in the world and if Real don't win the league or CL I think they may be tempted. A front three of Bale, Ronaldo and Suarez would surely be unstoppable. Can't see it happening though.
