What is Luis Suarez worth?

Ronaldo and Messi are clearly way ahead of Suarez. As good as he is, there's nobody close to those 2.
Okay Ibra isn't a level above him, but he's better IMO. Has 40 goals this season, compared to Suarez's 28 (mostly down to apps, but he's got a better ratio still). It's still laughable to claim Suarez is on Messi and Ronaldo's level though.

French league.

Not for me, he isn't even playing in a league as good as the Premier.
He's still tearing up the champions league this season, and been great in any league he's played in. Has 40 goals this season and is as unplayable as anyone on his day, which has happened very consistently this season.

He's been a beast this season. Teams can't cope with his workrate and skill. His movements are non-stop for 90 minutes.

If Aguero goes to Barca or Real then City would be straight in with £80m I reckon.

Ibra plays in Ligue 1.

I guess Ibra needs to wreck Chelsea now for people to rate him again, what is it with most of you Brits and hating on Ibrahimovic always??
No doubt that Suarez is a world class player, but Ibrahimovic has been better for each of the last few seasons and is doing better this season. You can't even say just the french league because he has 10 goals in 7 games in the champions league too. Add in loads of assists in all comps too.

No one has said Ibra isn't incredible. Suarez is just better.

So? He has 10 goals in 7 games in the champions league. Thiago Silva is the best center back in the world but he plays in Ligue 1 too. Him playing there doesn't make him worse. He's been great wherever he's played and won titles with every team.

Against Olympiakos, Benfica, Anderlecht and Bayer.

Hes scoring at the same rate as Ronaldo and has had more assists, like I said no one is a level above right now.

Ibrahimovic - the most over rated player in modern day football. I still dont get the hype.

Feel free to check out his scoring record, trophies record and his best goals anytime. Perhaps then you'll see the blindingly obvious.

Messi has been injured for chunks of this season. Ronaldo has been the same old Ronaldo, the best player in the world. He's a level above Suarez, no doubt what so ever for me.

What suggests hes a level above I don't get it, scoring at the same rate and has less assists in the league, I think he is better due to previous years of consistency, but this season there hasn't been too much disparity between their performances imo.

Ibra is quite clearly a very good player but resorting to his Ligue 1 record for comparison is a off the mark. So is the CL record when five of those goals are against Anderlecht.

I would agree with the general point that Suárez needs to make it at European level as well but the reasons he hasn't are quite clear and no fault of his own. In fact, he is making sure that gets sorted, unfortunately.

Because there's way more to football than the 7 months of the year where no trophies are handed out.

If we are talking about this season no one has been comfortably better still think he is behind Ronaldo and Messi mind, but the fact is he has been just as productive as the both of them.

I don't think that's really important. Top players are judged on the big games and/or the business end of Europe. Not on how many you can put past Cardiff and Norwich.

Hes done pretty well at international level as well, arguably better than all those he is being compared to, don't think he will have any problems in the CL not every team in it is of great quality. Costa who was talked about as being a lesser version of him has done pretty well in his first year playing in the competition.

Well he has been great in nearly every big game we've had this season, that argument is dead in the water

I didn't call him a flat track bully. I said you need to do it in title deciders and in Europe to be on Messi or Ronaldo's level.

You need even more then that to be on their level. Basically need to score over 50 goals for a few years on the trot to be on their level, because that's what they've done the last 5 years or so. Suarez isn't even at 30. Easy people.

Ok I didn't realize Suarez scored all his hat tricks against the top teams, and not Norwich, Cardiff, and whoever else.
Oh dear, you're not really going to run with this are you?

Messi is having a 'average' season and yet has similar numbers as Suarez
Playing for Barcelona. We've got shite like Henderson, Allen and Gerrard feeding Suarez. Imagine if he had decent players behind him.

No, obviously he's been brilliant all year round but so has Ibra. I was arguing the point that Ibra only scored 10 goals because they've played olympiacos, Leverkusen, benfica and anderlecht. Both are world class without a doubt and the 2 best forwards in the world after Ronaldo and messi who are way above the rest IMO, but I rate ibra is higher because of how dominant he can be, he's got it all.

Shame, people are still in denial. Someone says he's still scored less than 30 goals. Please tell how that's a valid argument? Have you seen the number of games he's played to get there? He's as good as anyone around the world atm, ronaldo, messi etc. He's got ronaldo stats with no penalties! He creates more than him too, how's he not as good? The only argument here is he hasn't done this for more than this season but on this seasons form there's no doubt he's up there with anyone.
