What is Luis Suarez worth?

A feck of a lot more now anyway.

What? Don't hold your tongue if you have something to say young man. The rest of us can't read your mind, however small it may be.
Did you miss the bolding of the text in your last post? I was asking what you meant when you said that "Kung fu kicking people is instinctive."

Let's be honest. It's not so much a new contract as a water-tight release clause, probably around the £55m mark outside of England and around £70m within.

It'll be at least £70m.

His agent will have been at the negotiations.

He's clearly worth that amount, but I imagine he and his agent will have been negotiating the release clause down as much as possible.

£55m is a £30m profit and he's out of the league you're playing in. Win.

Yep. It won't be less than £70m. I'd wager money on that.

I don't think players care about release clauses when they are seeing 200k per week being offered. He was previously on around 120k.

Lashing out in anger, kicking or punching, is instinctive behaviour to many/most people. What's not to understand?

Not to me. You must be on a wum yeah? Instinctive reaction and losing your temper are two very separate things.

May well not have a release clause, but all he has to do is raise hell the next time he wants a move and make it difficult in that way.

No one keeps a truly unhappy player for long

Perhaps he's realized that Liverpool is the best club for him and after being in 2nd place after 16 games now believes in the project? Great news for liverpool, if they improve the other positions a bit more he could lead them to a lot of success. Players who've got his impact on football games are really rare, can only count 3 in the past decade in the prem(him, henry and ronaldo). He could be the difference between them battling it out for top 4 spots or titles and they rightfully did what they could to keep him.

No, I assume you're on the WUM as you haven't said ANYTHING AT ALL other than quote my posts and be sarcastic. Well done, I give you a B minus.

I am CLEARLY, (and I can't emphasis how fecking clear this should be to any human with a semi-functioning brain) referring to the fact that IF (note: I capitalised the word IF because it's quite important in this sentence) you have lost your temper then kicking someone is natural/instinctive/socially normal behaviour. Biting someone is not. I chose to use the word instinctive. It's so fecking clear the context I am using it in.

I honestly can't believe how pedantic/stubborn/moronic you're being and yet have the temerity to act like you're being intelligent. Take a look at yourself you absolute thundercnut.

I quoted one of your posts because I was looking for an answer as to why you thought kung fu kicking someone was instinctive. I'm not at all being sarcastic I was just wondering why someone would hold that opinion. Thanks for clarifying it. I still don't at all agree with you but sure it takes all sorts.

Surely punching someone is way more instinctive than going for a flying kick? Every time I see that Cantona incident I wonder why he went for the kick instead of just diving in with a load of punches like I'd have done, his way seems a lot more awkward to me. I suppose a kick is better when you're wearing studs, though that goes against the idea of it being instinctive too I guess.

I dunno now. Gambit posted this video in the movie thread in the entertainment forum

Clearly instinctive to Godzilla....

Tony Barrett was on Citytalk earlier saying that while there may not be a flat release clause, there are release clauses included should certain things happen (eg. We miss out on CL footy).

Either way it puts the club in a much better position. I was one of the folk who wanted to cash in this summer especially when he started coming out in the press and trying to push for a move.

I've always thought that. Maybe he thought that was the best way of getting himself over the barrier without the fan having time to do anything about it. fecked it up though unfortunately and was left embarrassingly swivelling his arse on the hoardings. Not Eric's finest moment in many ways.

I would assume only two clubs in the world could now buy Luis Suarez if they really wanted him...and that would probably rely on Liverpool missing out on CL football.

The bloke is sheer class. I don't give a feck if he dives around, to watch him banging goals in is special. I'm going to get grief because he plays for LFC, but you have to hold your hands up and admit that the Dippers have, for me, the best player in the world this season.

Unless he gets injured Liverpool are going to be extremely difficult to catch. He's just been incredible this season.

How the feck did Liverpool manage to sign a player like Suarez? Was he always going to be this good, or is this just a crazy, unseen improvement?

So this must be how oppo fans felt watching Ronaldo playing for United circa 07/08.

They took a chance on his poor disciplinary record. Lets not forget he was already on a huge ban in holland
For biting somebody when they bought him. Many clubs weren't interested for that alone

He's also improved a lot, I remember Harry saying the Tottenham scouts saying he wasn't good enough for them.
