Westminster Politics

Cameron - WTF? I suppose it’s an attempt to move away from Tea Party antics and towards the less headbanger wing of the party and most others from that side were purged under Johnson 4 years ago.

So we’ve finally reached the point that they’ve burnt through so many MP’s in the last six years that they don’t have anyone left to fill the cabinet positions.

If you believe our two main political parties, the House of Lords is a crucial part of British democracy.

It sort of is - or something that stops the govt doing whatever it wants is. Doesn't have to be a load of wankers who are only in there due to the family they were born into though.

A man who set up a fake Tory fact check Twitter account and one of the most incompetent MPs going is Home Secetary.

Met him a couple of times and again a couple of months ago in Nigeria. Nothing between his ears.

Hey, that's not a nice thing to say about Boris Johnson's secret daughter.

Sacking Bravaman and hiring remainer David Cameron is going to incense the ERG further.

There’s surely not enough of the moderate Conservatives left post 2019 for them to make a pivot back to the centre for the sake of the next election?
Mental. They're absolutely desperate

His policies have said otherwise, if he had any backbone, he would never have appointed her in the first place. His Government have been full of toxic stuff since he's been PM. The right wingers wanted Truss, once he got in, he should have set his own Cabinet and actually tried to improve things.

I believe he and Hunt are both of the 'democracy' cadre, polite people with policy we disagree with, rather than the throw it on a bonfire populist one, but both lean far far right. Especially Hunt who seems shockingly libertarian and probably agreed with Truss a lot. Sunak hasn't really had a chance, he's been a dead man walking since day one. Think his shtick has just been to see out the term.

This is like that bit in the Beckham PR “documentary” at Madrid. Cameron has been doing laps of Downing Street just waiting to be called back in.

I thought Truss was as low as they could go... shoehorning a former PM into the lords because you literally hate every other choice is fecking bonkers.

Is this Rishi's play to either get booted out or call the election? I cannot see any other play for this?

Cruella out and Pig fecker in

Is Rishi not worried everyone will like Cameron more when they start seeing him? Say what you want about the cnut and how he totally ruined the country - he’s infinitely more impressive a politician than Rishi in every way. I also don’t get how the ERG plonkers will put up with not only Suella being removed but remain and pro China Dave being snuck in too…

I think Rishi is sending out the CV to sillicon valley as we speak. Sacking Cruella and bringing in Cameron is a death sentence, which he knows. He's telling the lunatics to either sack him or get an election started.

Broadly you would normally think the Tories moving in a more moderate direction is a good thing. But given how the next election is likely to go, it could easily result in a lurch back to the right again if blame is pinned in that direction.

Yet another unelected Tory minister.
Just a few weeks ago, Sunak was claiming that he was the leader of change. Trying to distance himself from the last 13 years of the failed Tory government.

Now he brings back David Cameron who was the Tory leader for most of that time. And of course he led to the disastrous Brexit referendum.

So what next.
Bring back Boris Johnson as Foreign Secretary. Or deputy Leader.
Edit. Or even better, as Justice Secretary.
