Westminster Politics

Not especially. Much of it (initial herd immunity policy, care homes, PPE stock, nepotism and contracts awarded to entirely unsuitable firms, etc) is readily verifiable. His self aggrandising and selective confessional declerations are largely irrelevant in many regards.
However, it didn't really take Cummings to highlight this really. He's just added some anecdotal colour.

Maybe. Maybe not

Ok...I have no idea what that means.
It's not hard to check.
On herd immunity, for instance, Valance alone has numerous on the record media statements in March last year.
We'll never know if the quotes Cummings has given are accurate of course. Whilst doubtless selective, they seem plausible.

plausible? Seems reasonable or probable but not certain. Okay, right.

In all honesty I don't care to join in on their battle of who's right and who's wrong. Members of Parliament and thier aids telling lies, I'm shocked! :wenger:

I just don't like Cummings and he is proving he wouldn't be my kind of fella to have a pint with, that's it really.

I'm sure you can tell, I'm not overly arsed about thier bickering and I'm certainly not shocked that Bojo, Cummings, Corbyn and the rest of them lead life's far from right and proper.

Yes, I mean the quotes that he's stating were made in meetings seem plausible and it seems likely the What'sapp screen shots aren't faked.

Most of his claims about major events and Government policies are, however, verifiable. These are the bits that matter, but we knew it all anyway.

How these politicians lead their lives isn't the point (and I'm not sure what particular impropriety in his private life Corbyn is guilty of) it's the decisions they take, policies they implement and how they misappropriate public funds to their mates. The fact that Cummings is an obvious odious cnut (and, unlike you, I am not a fan of Brexit and so there is many reasons for me to loathe him) doesn't alter the veracity of the aspects of his claims that can readily be backed up from other sources (often Government statements).

You need to find somebody that actually cares mate. I'm not meaning to sound harsh but I've already told you I don't care that much about it to engage in yet another pointless debate where nothing will be resolved.

As I said, I don't mean anything in this response other than I don't like the guy, maybe that's a little unfair as I don't actually know him but hey, we are all a little judgmental from time to time, right?

Sure. Happy to drop it, I'm merely pointing out, to your original point, that the meat of what he said is likely or certainly true.

I also, for what it's worth, dislike him intensely and I'm not defending the character of Dominic Cummings.

As an aside... The biggest trick pulled was getting people who are disengaged from politics to believe that you can lump Corbyn in with Bojo and Cummings.

First time I misread that as an offshore pub  :D

Don't like Sajid Javed

Did you hear him. I have done this. I have analysed the data. Me, me, me.
The man must be superhuman to have done all of what he claims.
Or much more likely, he is saying what he thinks and not what he knows.
More bullsh1t politics.

Pathetic doesn't cover it. These people are so detached from reality that they don't think people witnessing this understand what is happening here. Truly disrespectful of the institution it's taking place in.

They truly don't give a feck, do they?
Not at all. Why would they? They are utterly unaccountable and completely untouchable.

Corruption? Ignore it.
Inquiry Results? Reject them.
Formal independent findings of bullying? Shrug
Blatant failures exposed? Say the people just want us to get on with job and blank it.
Press scrutiny? Exclude them and make sure your people control the media and get the stories.
Caught lying? Lie again, warp reality and deny it.

And their poll lead continues to grow...and their majority is unassailable.

Well not if your employer had told you it was OK... like it seems their employer did
That must be rubbish though. I work for a local authority and they would shit themselves if I used my personal email for work purposes and then they would shit all over me. At a national Government level? Can't be right.
Also, the governing body for my job would probably ban me, even if I somehow avoided the sack.

Dunno I mean I work at government level with dozens of governments have no issues being security vetted by over 50 governments and use Gmail regularly with them... probably its more hassle to administer but if its if a net benefit I guess they don't care about the admin

Nope. They don’t need to. Enough Idiots have nailed their colours to the mast. They defend the abhorrent. Rewind 10/20/30 years and the same people would be protesting against corruption.

Those same idiots now consume Murdoch content that constantly reminds them that they’re on the ‘winning’ team.

We’re fcuked.

Only true because you didn’t go to Eton, Oxbridge and study Political Economics and/or Classics. If you had, you’d have a get out of shit free card. Forever.

Fair enough, sounds like you work much further up the government chain than me, so would definitely know better. I'm just at a (very) local level. What I can say is, we can't go a four week period without some reminder about data security. There's even a reminder on our screensaver.

Probably more likley I help them achieve external targets and make them look good so they are more flexible ... local government it typically harder in my experience that national... or at least whe the national government tells theocal government its ok they just accept it

Edit just to say there can be logical reasons to use Gmail or similar in some instances
