Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na....Nasriiiiii!

Sneijder is like a floating gem spiraling out of control towards the universes medieval stretch of honey lined gentle springs that drip like flies in the rain.

Ian Mcarry on five live says there will be a board meeting tomorrow where they will agree to sell Sneijder for 35 mil euros

I wonder if Inter need the money. The club's President has already spoken to Eto'o, and assured him that he won't be sold; not a word on Sneijder though.

That's just what the papers and Twitter has been saying since yesterday.

Quite - but it is something a little extra to stake your credibility on national radio. And I'd be inclined to trust the reporting on 5 Live. Maybe that's just the muppet in me...

How can he know what they'll agree to in a board meeting that hasn't happened? He can know what they will discuss, but if everyone already knows what they'll agree to then what's the point of having the meeting in the first place.

I need to lie down for a while.

I'm not privy to the Inter board's make up or processes, but it's conceivable that it would come down to a formal vote...?

I reckon he's at the heart of the rumours. I'm sure he predicted the Dutch bloke would be a United player cum the new season, a few weeks ago.

Inter have a habit of selling big-name players to fund other transfers. Wes saying that it's up to the club whether he stays or goes is, perhaps, a sop for the Inter fans. We'll soon see anyway...

I read this morning that their template is to sell an established player each summer to balance the books...

Sounds to me like he could be on his way and both Inter and himself are dressing it up to smooth it over with the fans so that neither of them become the fall guy in their eyes.

Anyway feck the transfer window, its a pain in the arse. Roll on 31st August when we know whats what.

Perhaps this is clutching at straws, but those quotes aren't that bad. If Inter were determined to keep him, and Sneijder was determined to stay they would have said something else

The Inter quotes specially seem to be motivated by getting as high a price as possible for him. And if a bid is accepted, it is pretty clear that Sneijder would go.

I say he's ours if we want him and can afford him:p

aye, spot on.

sort of a win-win form them. either he stays and they are real force or they ship him out for loads of monies.

Probably. But even still, there is no way to foretell what they will agree to. Especially if you're just a journalist and are in no way connected to the voting procedure.

Yep, it's all based on hearsay, information from 'sources' and then a feck load of speculation to fill in the blanks.

We'll know soon enough if it was all bollocks.

Neville's comments are strange, especially after he gave the interview about not buying world class players because United like to buy players who still have a bit to go to reach the top level. Perhaps he's been told by Fergie to talk up Sneijder as a diversion.

Or possibly - he can say what he wants to say now - whereas he had to be a little more reserved when he was playing

feck this its not going to happen im going to gorge myself on haggen daas and watch charlies angels

From today's press conference thread:

SAF was apparently asked about Sneijder, according to SSN he was less obliging about that response (compared to the Nasri answer) and I think he said 'look, we have to see what things are happening on that'.

Yay.
