The way he approaches the idea of him staying is indicative that he wants to leave.

It's back on!

it would be so much easier for everyone concerned if we just closed the transfer forum during July and open it up the day before the window opens. Too many of you get worked up, i fear for your tickers

I agree, good idea. These threads are a waste of time really, no-one actually knows what is going on apart from the player, his agent and the two clubs involved.

The media will print any old crap at this time of year because stories about the cricket and golf don't sell newspapers.

Aren't we old enough to know never bother with headlines and articles about transfers? The same people year in and out jump on every headline from whatever source, even if it's some brand new website with the layout design of a child, and latch onto it. Your lives must be very stressful...

Arguing about the merit of a player coming here is lovely, but debating his coming or staying based on people who get paid to sell papers is pushing the boulder up the hill. One minute you're close to the top, the next you're being chased by the boulder as you sprint downhill.

That sounds like an extract from SteveJ's book.. :)

Agree. It would always be wonderful if we banned twitter rumors. It's incredibly annoying how people post tweets fairly often posted by random individuals seeking attention and then getting excited/deflated on the basis of it.

Medical experts agree that it is better to let these emotions out than to bottle them up inside. The 'Caf is our shrink, and we its impatients.

I seem to recall being stressed out of my mind between games at the run in to the end of last season and praying for the light relief of the muppet season. Damn those evil tweeting WUMs and tribalgoaloffside.com. Damn them to hell

Please Wesley, stay at Inter!

Perhaps this is clutching at straws, but those quotes aren't that bad. If Inter were determined to keep him, and Sneijder was determined to stay they would have said something else

The Inter quotes specially seem to be motivated by getting as high a price as possible for him. And if a bid is accepted, it is pretty clear that Sneijder would go.

I say he's ours if we want him and can afford him:p

I can already tell Yolanthe is going to hate Manchester.

According to calciomercato.com:
Al sentire il nome della squadra inglese, il trequartista olandese alza di nuovo le spalle modello «sarà quel che sarà», mentre la moglie spalanca i bellissimi occhi e dice: «Manchester? Non ci sono mai stata, se dovremo trasferirci lì, mi informerò».

Basically sneijder's wife is saying that she never been to manchester but should they move there, she will inform herself better.

My impression is that sneijder knows inter want to sell him, so he is non-committed about other teams - most probably for financial reasons (he ll be better off if he dont ask for a transfer himself)

Neville's comments are strange, especially after he gave the interview about not buying world class players because United like to buy players who still have a bit to go to reach the top level. Perhaps he's been told by Fergie to talk up Sneijder as a diversion.

Has anyone mentioned that those Sneijder quotes were weeks ago.

She can stay behind in Milan then. F*** her.

btw, I was just visiting Manutd.com and I see Sneijder and his wife on the frontpage. I mean, wtf?!? Can we leave out this woman?

'Sky Sports understands that Liverpool have made a bid for Yolanthe Sneijder.'

He's got a fecken tattoo of his wife on him.. I'd be worried he'd go on a shooting spree if she ever left him. Poor bastard.

Nah, it's Daniel Day-Lewis in The Last of the Mohicans.

“I know the manager will definitely be looking at the midfield areas - the creative areas,” Neville said.

“With Paul Scholes and Owen Hargreaves leaving, it does leave a slight gap there, but he certainly won’t panic himself into buying somebody if the value is not there.

“If the player is not there, he will go with those he has got.

“He knows full well that the likes of Ryan Giggs, Michael Carrick, Darren Fletcher and Anderson are more than capable of delivering that high level of performance for a season, and there are young players as well that are coming through, who will have the ability to step in.”

I hope he stays where he is. I don't think he's that good, and people who say that he had a good WC are blind, he was shit in most of those games. I'm not judging him on that, but I don't think he's suited to play for United as a central midfielder, certainly not on the terms mentioned in the press. I'd rather spend £35m on Modric.

This must be the first time we are using Vanity Fair as a source.

disappointed we havent signed him by now, i will be personally writing to david gill about this

How would we line up with Sneijder? Drop one of Rooney or Hernandez I assume?

Highly doubt Rooney will be dropped maybe rested on occasion and we will rotate and change system depending on opposition so I don't really get this obsession people have with asking who will be dropped when its never really as simple as that, could play all kinds of different line ups with the players we have.

Nani----Sneijder----Carrick-----Young

--------Rooney-------Hernandez

-----------Carrick-----Fletcher--------
Nani------------Sneijder-------Young
---------------Rooney----------------

-----------Carrick-----Fletcher--------
Nani------------Sneijder-------Rooney
---------------Hernandez----------------

just a few ways all can be used, but fact is there is still a lot more we can do with players like Anderson, Park, Giggs, Valencia and Berbatov not to mention Welbeck and Cleverley if they are here next season so I really don't see why they can't all play the right amount of games for us to have the success we want in a season where we will hopefully be playing around 60 matches.
