Strange people, never been afraid to express my opinion and that won't change. Sorry chaps.

Can you explain your opinion please?
Maybe they will. Id be happy if carrick never played for us again though.

It would be good to make a poll in anticipation:
I really don't rate Carrick, It's not rocket science. This forum is about opinions but certain 'bellends' have forgotten that.

RHD, you fiend! I wasn't expecting that pic in your spoiler!

A stupid - and not very supportive -thing to say, but
On the other hand, I kind of hope you're right. But then, as a result of Andersons, Fletchers, and Cleverleys positive development and / or a new signing. I will be very happy with him as a backup/squadplayer though!
Edit:
EXPLANATION: I think these players have greater potential than Carrick
It would be good to make a poll in anticipation:
How will you react when the window shuts and we haven't signed a midfielder?
(a) bullish optimism: 'We're fecking Manchester United' / 'Trust in SAF' / 'Carrick is all we need' etc
(b) calm realism: 'The Sneijder deal couldn't have happened without cocking up the wage structure', 'We'll have to make do with what we've got'
(c) Muppet-fueled anger: 'We fecking needed a CM and now we've only got Cleverley and Gibson' / 'Chelsea got Modric and City got Nasri, wah wah it's not fair' / 'Summer is cruel' etc
(d) Denial: 'We've signed him really. Everything we've heard in the press was a smokescreen' / 'When SAF says we didn't sign someone, it's a surefire indication that actually we did' / 'Watch him turn out for us on Jan 1st (draws imaginary formation with Sneijder in)' etc
(e) suicide
Don't bother posting on here again mate.
Anyway, this thread is about Sneijder incidentally, could someone be so kind as to update me on the latest with him?

OMG! giggs-beckham thinks Carrick is a cnut and wishes he was dead!
Sad to see this. Over 4000 posts and it's come to this.
he's a cnut and I wish he was dead.
Who died and made this guy God??
Whether you agree with giggs-beckham or not its his opinion and let him have it, instead of ganging up like a bunch of kids in the playground.

Ah the voice of reason, thanks.

Anyway, enought Carrick chat... to the Sneijder thread!
Oh.
Nonsense, you have to qualify what you say for your input to be of any value. Being happy for Carrick to be replaced with what you feel is a better player is valid but to just stroll in and say you'd be happy for arguably our best central midfielder never to play for us again with no qualification is obviously going to rile people because opinion or not it makes no practical sense.
Now that shows how much we need players, either our youngsters or from the market.
So ten days before the window shuts, we are still in with a shout of signing either Sneijder, Modric and Nasri?
Who would be the best fit at the moment, given the introduction of Cleverley?

Apologies, I realised after posting that I looked like a bit of a cnut. Ganging up on forums is pathetic and it wasn't my intention at all, I saw his post and replied before reading fully through. It still does my nut in when people like him seem to actively dislike our players. Like the lot that pushed Gibbo off Facebook. Utter, utter twats and not fans at all.

I almost agree with you. I have always seen Carrick as a fringe player and I remember not too long ago many of the numpties in here giving Carrick a hard time, questioning his ability.
You are right to speak your mind and simply expressing a dislike of one or two players does not make you any less a fan of MU.
To the band wagon jumpers.......Simply saying "support the badge" is total and utter bollocks. Supporting the badge will not make United successful and we all have an equal right to question whether a player is of sufficient quality to wear the badge.
I am not a fan of Fletcher or Carrick, they are no more than squad players in my opinion. I know I am not alone amongst the adults of Redcafe as opposed to the gobby kids.
We have a need for quality in midfield and I am hopeful that we will get it from the youngsters.
