Thank God the voice of reason has spoken and made it all make sense :p. Where's wesley?

We get 40m from DHL for sponsoring the training kit. Spunk it on Wesley

Of course its your opinion & no offence dude, but is it pure coincidence that we won all of this when we signed him tho?

Premier League (4): 2006–07, 2007–08, 2008–09, 2010–11
Football League Cup (1): 2009–10
FA Community Shield (4): 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011
UEFA Champions League (1): 2007–08
FIFA Club World Cup (1): 2008

There's enough scousers sayin how crap Carrick is without us boys hammering him. He's not fancy, but he's a great player for us & a model pro for the club. As Tron says "support the jersey.."

It is amazing how many people think this is a complete coincidence !!

So ten days before the window shuts, we are still in with a shout of signing either Sneijder, Modric and Nasri?

Who would be the best fit at the moment, given the introduction of Cleverley?

I still think Sneijder is the best fit for us.

The way you word it, is ever so slightly biased. Lets see. Hmm. Do you think Carrick was more influential then Sir Alex? Its interesting what people are saying. If we took this seriously, I think you'd find Carrick was more influential then Eric Cantona...The fact is when Carrick did sign, we raised our game to new heights that we never even tough with Eric

These posts are a bit disingenuous aren't they? Carrick signed in 2006 and was the only signing that season. We then went on to having a great five years of success, so surely it was entirely down to that signing and nothing else. Nothing to do with Ronaldo and Rooney hitting their peak or anything like that.

Batman made his first appearance in 1939. Just months later World War II kicked off. Coincidence? I think not...

Also, what does Carrick have to do with the topic in hand?

Wesley Sneijder could have played his last game for Inter Milan with United ready to make a swoop before the Serie A season opens.

The Dutch playmaker has been on the champions’ radar all summer despite mixed messages from the Italian club.

One minute they’ve left the door for an exit open, the next they’ve slammed it shut in potential buyers’ faces.

United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has also been coy publicly but is believed not to have completely ended his interest.

Sneijder did not go with Inter’s 20-man squad for last night’s friendly in Geneva against Olympiakos.

He missed the final pre-season game of Inter’s summer due to personal reasons, according to the club.

New coach Gian Piero Gasperini is preparing Inter in Switzerland for their Serie A opening match of the campaign in the San Siro against Lecce next Sunday.

Sneijder remained behind to spark speculation that a departure is imminent.

Whatever, United are still keen to make one final attempt to land the 27-year-old.

They have been encouraged by reports that the Holland international has knocked back approaches from City to lure him to the Etihad Stadium.

The Blues are said to have been keen on a deal that took Carlos Tevez to Inter as part of a package to add Sneijder to Roberto Mancini’s squad.

The midfielder is not interested in moving to Manchester to join City but is believed to have been open to a switch to Old Trafford throughout the saga over his future.

Gasperini wants the affair done and dusted before Inter start their Italian League programme this weekend four days before the summer transfer window shuts and Champions League squads have to be sent to UEFA.

Admittedly nothing you haven't heard before but maybe enough to allow your penis to not be completely flaccid.

Its slightly biased in that he's been excellent for us & i'm not alone in understanding the role he & Scholesy played in us being a much better team than we were before he arrived. We struggled the previous year or two, we played Giggys & O'Shea there for a massive chunk of a season, because Scholesy was injured etc..

Carrick came along & gave us the platform for the the team to excel. It was deemed the missing link to a potentially great team & in 2008 we didnt disappoint, nor have we for 4 out of the past 5 years either. I like Carrick & i respect what he's given us, but of course Fergie's been the most influential person at United because he buys players that will improve the teams chances of winning trophies.

Carrick was an excellent buy & that list of trophies we won since he's been here speaks for itself - thats all i'm sayin & people should acknowledge that more often!

I've always said that. I've always said look at what we've won since he arrived. He's a very underrated player, he does a job which goes un-noticed most of the time. Sure he had a bad spell, but that doesn't make him a bad player. Every player has bad spells some point in their career.

Just the usual battering of Carrick on here, thats all..

Its Giggs-Beckhams fault - the poor bullied soul that he is

Those were all down to Carrick, and not due to Cristiano, Wayne, Edwin, Nemanja or Javier

Why is that now? Do you really think he isnt up to it? Do you and the mouthy feck that started this all really think you know more than our manager?

Of course you are entitled to your opinion but you must get sick of being wrong?

What the feck has this diatribe got to do with my remark?

Are you saying that it is above the remit of a football fan to criticise and question the decisions of the club? He had every right to make a point.

I wouldn't have chosen the words he chose, but I think we get what he is saying.

Nobody is trying to suggest they know more than the manager, but you are welcome to throw some shite in to pad out your post if it pleases you. There are tossers in here who have turned this forum into a kiddy keyboard warrior's platform and in my opinion too much of this stuff goes unchecked by the moderators.

I have tried to avoid being in the mix with the feckers who have wrecked this thread, so I will try and say no more on the subject, unless of course you want to discuss this further via PM.
