Wesley Sneijder

TBH the Barca team that Sneijder (and Inter beat) was far superior to the one we beat in 2008.

Messi was just returning from injury as well in our match.

ok simple choice then, who would you rather have in the team, Rooney or Sneijder. One or the other and no discussion just name one player.

I think Inter getting Sneijder for 12(?) million makes a lot of sense now, with his wages at Inter.

Rooney of course since he's our player and younger and better (imo) but that doesn't mean we couldn't do with both of them in our team.

Why would we say no to Sneijder?

Never said that, I just asked a question. I want Sneijder in the team as well. I'm also not worried if we don't get him.

Also keep seeing the same rumour that City are in for Sneijder coming from some Italian websites.

BBC Sport's Phil McNulty confirms Samir Nasri move from #Arsenal to #MCFC is still on but financial details still being ironed out.

Who knows, maybe he ll sign for us next june on a free transfer.... :)

I think he genuinely wants to play for United if he leaves Inter. If he was so desperate for money, he would have joined City at the start of the window.

Apparently nasri is city's 1st choice - they ll go for sneijder if nasri move fails.

And City are the only team in England (and probably the world) that would agree to match his wage demands.

We don't know what his wage demands are, it's all journalist speculation. Just like Rooneys were before it was shown to be bollocks and way off the mark. The papers have also printed story after story saying that he's willing to take a pay cut yet people keep harping on about these wage demands that we don't even know what they are.

When did he say that ?

A year ago, September 2010 after we were linked to him then in the summer.

''If somebody asks me if I will ever play for Manchester United, it's impossible for me to say no"

"How can you say that if the chance came you would not play for one of the biggest clubs in the world.

''I don't think there is any player in the world who could publicly rule out ever playing for Manchester United and if they did I would doubt they were telling the truth."

Meanwhile, Sneijder has suggested his career will not be complete until he has played in England.

He added: ''The Premier League, in terms of top clubs, is the strongest in the world, and it would be nice to finish my career saying I have played at the very top in Spain, Italy, and England.

''There is not many who can say they have done that, and if that does happen for me I would only want it to be with Manchester United.''

Quite a strong message at the end of the last summer transfer window from him for SAF to think about the following year whilst Scholes was thinking about retiring.

Fingers crossed this will dispell any worries about him a.) not wanting to play for United, b.) wanting to go to City for the money and c.) people will also realise his 250k demands are just journalist speculation like Rooneys before we found out he was on far less than the papers reported, plus he's apparantly happy to take a pay cut.

The rest is up to United, as I'm sure they know all of this too. If we sign him then great, if we don't then we don't.

Wasn't that in the Mirror? His agent came out and said it was a completely fabricated article made from fabricated quotes IIRC.

It wasn't the Mirror, Daily Star on Sunday I believe, still a rag but quotes are what we look for in interviews after all. I haven't seen the agent rubbishing it, do you have a link? If he did then fair play.

His reactions to being asked about United on camera allude to the same also that he wants to be here. The cheeky little smiles etc, his team mates talking about him being at United.

He'll sign a second after those cnuts sign nasri :) It won't be before.

or it could be a written transfer request.

Just putting it out there :p

Hopefully there's some news by Monday when we get to know why he's not been picked by Gasperini.

Well my head is telling me this is nothing. He could have an ill family member for all we know, or even be attending a feckin' barbecue, its hardly a big game for him to miss is it?

My heart, however, tells me:

I'm off to Old Trafford, feck you Inter.

Instead of relocking the thread mods, can you just instead make good of GBs threat to ban people from the transfer forum? I'm sure whenever this thread is opened the people who want to see it closed come do this on purpose just to laugh when it gets closed down. As GB threatened to just ban anyone from now on who turns it into the general can we just leave the thread open and deal with the ones who keep messing it up? For those who don't have anything constructive or don't want to keep reading this thread, stop bloody clicking on it and reading post after post in it if you don't want to.

I don't want to fellate a man, so I don't. I don't pull ones pants down and suck him dry whilst telling him over and over I'm sick of doing it and I really don't want to blow him. Go read another thread.

Bizarre post.

He's a world class footballer.

That's your opinion. I don't think he is. If he is then the likes of Frank Lampard (of 2 or 3 years ago), Ozil, Xabi Alonso, and many other players are. I still wouldn't give him 250k a week. If he deserves it then so does Nani, Vidic, Rio etc. We'd be mad to do it.

Yep pocco has been talking out of his arse in this thread.

And I reckon that I'll be the one that is right in the end. Pretty good for talking out of my arse.

Bizarre poster.

I remember you telling me that I was wrong about Welbeck moving ahead of Berbatov this season, then Fergie goes and starts him ahead of him for the first two games. I bet you thought that was bizarre too. Perhaps you just don't see things how they actually are.

A line that should be reserved for when you do actually get it right. Are you trying to take credit for something that, in your opinion, you will get right before you get it right? Bizarre.
