You said this to me last week - do you still think that? Boardroom sources at United are apparently quoted today as saying Sneijder's demands are 'mindblowing'. I've reached the point where, frankly, if it's that much of an inconvenience for him to play for United, if he requires that kind of reward, I'd rather we didn't bother. If he now lowers his demands before the window closes, I'll need a lot of convincing that he genuinely wants to play for United, such is the compensation he needs to consider it. I'd far rather we concentrated on what we have as the spirit currently seems so good within the squad. We've enough players who want to play for United to forget about someone who needs 'mindblowing' demands in order to do so.

No, I don't know what he's on because nobody outside the club really does, hence I don't make bold claims about how much he earns. I do, however, treat headline figures from tabloid newspapers with extreme scepticism.

I don't read tabloid newspapers, but I've read in numerous broadsheets that he's estimated to be earning considerably over 200,000 a week so why not see if you can forgive what was only ever at best a throwaway comment? How am I making 'bold claims' if it's so widely acknowledged, throughout the 'quality' press, that he's on considerably more than that?

It's nothing against your personally, it's just that his supposed earnings are quite frequently brought up on here in a negative light when nobody really knows what he's earning.
