It's round the same cycle again i.e. we sign him, then we don't, then we do, then we don't. I wouldn't pay any attention to media reports until it's official, which will probably be never.

Are these old quotes from a couple of weeks.

Didn't Bob Cass from the Mail mention this, surely they are not re hashing an article from then?

Yes hopefully! I hate it when we try and sign world class players.

The problem is that we have some really exciting youngsters coming up. Yes it might hamper us short term, but surely long term gain is the most important thing here. We could save ourselves 35million and promote Cleverly and in a season or two Pogba and Morrison. All 3 lads really are that good, we just need a bit of patience :)

If they are good enough they'll get a chance. We can't wait around for a few years to strengthen midfield.

Playing alongside players like Sneijder would only help them though. It's too early to fully rely on them performing all season long.

The link i posted is from the press association. All the talking, twittering, virtual formations and ITK over the weeks as been for nothing.Looked like the deal was dead weeks ago.

It's Sneijder or nobody.

At the moment it's looking like we are going to be playing with the exact same midfield as last season.

feck it, I'm out. I really tried my best to stay in until the end but I just don't have enough muppet in me, I've taken all I can, on, off, on, off, on, off, city, on, off, smoking, flirting, "Manchester is a beautiful club", on, off, "we're not interested", more flirting, on again, off again...

I'm exhausted and can't fecking take it anymore, so no more posts in here from me, you can aim for 15 000 but I won't be helping.

And to any fecker that says "YESSS, we're not signing him, fecking great"..... GET A feckING GRIP OF YOURSELF, slap yourself in the face ffs because you're an utter Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime.

Peace.

cock in lads, it over... stop harbouring hopes of it happening....

I think Carrick is spot on in the article though. It's about adapting, Scholes out, Park and Cleverly in (as CM choices). Thats more than enough talent in midfield to challenge for all of the trophies.

The away form was a worry last season, but that could have been a mental issue as much as a squad issue. We slowly recovered in the last few games of the season. We don't need to panic and ruin our wage structure and splash out another 35million on a player like Sneijder imo.

Besides we've relied on young players in the past. If they have the talent, they'll be played. Just my opinion of course :)

Every time I log into this thread, there's an advert for the new Will Young album.

Just wondered if anyone is buying / has bought it?

Holland's game was called off so they probably decided to give him a few days off. Mind you, Argentina's friendly was also cancelled, but those players are back in training with Inter.

That's the only thing that makes me believe we might get him.
5 days off so shorty before the season starts? That's weird to say the least.

Except it isn't so shortly before the start of the season -- Serie A kicks off on the 27th/28th of August.

well point still stands. He had enough time to go on holiday. 2 weeks before the start of the season it's a bit strange imo.

So he is not coming now? Well based of a rehashed article...this story is making my head hurt. We need to sign someone, I wish we would just fecking get it done and be done with it whether its Wes, De Rossi or Barton FFS.

Seriously, how can you tell how good Pogba and Morrison are. They have no Premier League experience. The only games they have played for the first team have been a few minutes in carling cup games. There is absolutely no way in telling how good they are or will be. Reserve team performances shows no real reflection on how their first team performances may be. See Bebe.

Martinez it should be! He is exactly what we need imo

To be fair to Taylor, the 'rehashes' of old quotes are actually used to give the general context into which the new piece of info, the supposed high-level 'leak' of the current position, is placed.

Both are still a season away from the first team, if not more.

Why on earth should we believe they leaked this information to him... A journalist Ferguson has banned from any United press conference.
