I said that Sneijder did very well according to what the journalists/media/etc. Maybe I've mixed the games up (they are doing alot of preseason matches lately) regarding the highlights but the rest still stand.

Actually they've only played three: against Trentino, Mezzocorona and finally Cremonese in Rovereto. But at least you're finally coming around to "maybe I've mixed the games up" -- positive signs.

And I repeat have you watched the game?

You absolute dullard

Sneijder was very good in his last match at CM so I don't know what they're complaining about. Was he that shite today? Maybe his mind is just not in it.

As I said before I tend not to watch friendly games of rival clubs unless its a big game (ex the luigi berlusconi cup). On the rest I limit myself to highlights and what the media say.

Also a waste of time telling people about hairdryers you've witnessed over the internet. No-one ever believes those stories no matter how true.

I'm afraid I don't speak Italian and am thus unable to answer that question.

a) I agree with him. I did my fair share of mistakes on this forum.

b) Its difficult to follow the Italian clubs unless you know Italian. The best italian media and Inter channel is in Italian and are rarely translated in English. Is it too difficult for you to state whether you've watched the game or not?

Yes it is. I am profoundly worried you'll insult me in a very personal manner involving the people that I love.

Why so many edits, devilish? Unsure of ourselves, are we? At least give us non-Italians a chance to aim at a static target.

Anyway, I meant no offence - I just think you're a fecking buffoon :p

Almost home!!! My lovely wife and son are waiting for me.. They said with a present ☺☺ can't wait to see them!!!

He never gives anything away in his tweets :(

I love how the name of this thread keeps changing. Every time i see it i chuckle

Who's up for making a Twitter account with a similar username (sneijder1010101 for example), to get talking to his wife/mum. Might get some good information :D

Sorry for taking this Barcelona thread, offtopic. But talksport is having a Sneijder update in next 15 mins or so.

They're talking about Sneijder's pronunciation.

Eh, what poor performances? I read Sneijder has been one of their best during preseason.

Maybe we don't need him. My main gripe last season was our midfield not keeping the ball or showing urgency especially away from home. We need players who don't get dominated by other teams and can pass accurately first and foremost. Sneijder seems like the type who needs time on the ball-will he chase around trying to get it back?

Why do people always put so much emphasis on fitness-building friendlies? If form in friendlies were a good indicator then NGog would be commanding a £40m transfer fee!

His "form" in friendlies or lack there of is being used to determine how much hey want to leave. With the arrival of the new coach and also a little bit to do with Ricky Alvarez - Sneijder is in a little less preferred role.

So on one side you've got people saying he isn't going to be happy in his new role and such will probably look to push a move through or at least sanction one. On the other hand you've got people saying, look he's doing well in his new role and as such the whole unhappy thing is a non-factor.

It's just people trying to read into things to suit what they think is going to happen in the end.

Well he best get happy about this new role because thats exactly how he will be playing if he comes here.

The Talksport interview:

Dutch Correspondant Marcelle Van der Kraan on Talksport:

TS:what is the latest situation with Wesley Sneijder?

Van der kraan;"This is probably going to be a long winded transfer saga due to the amount of money involved'

TS;Has anything changed in the last 4 or 5 days does Wesley Sneijer have his heart set on a move to Manchester United?

Van der Kran :"Absolutely! Sneijder sees Manchester United as a massive opportunity in his career he sees United as a club constantly challenging for big trophies"

TS: The feeling seems to be that Wesley has to be on less money than Rooney at United is that true?

Van der Kran: Sneijder would be prepared to take a pay cut to he would be looking at a similar type of package to Rooney.

TS: Is there any truth in the rumours linking Sneijder to Manchester City or is that just media speculation?

Van Der Kran: I think the latter we don't believe he is interested in a move to City the thing that is attractive to him is that United are challenging for all the major trophies.

TS; any truth to the rumours of a deleted tweet declaring that he's on his way to England?

Van der kraan: no not that I am aware of. He is just keeping calm and letting his agent handle things. There's one more factor to consider and that is Sneijders wife she is like a dutch Cheryl Cole I'm sure as a couple they would be a big hit in England.

Really? I haven't watched Inter but, I thought the whole thing about his "new position" started because Gasperini was said to favor a 3-4-3 formation which would basically shift Sneijder wider than he normally likes to be.

If he is indeed playing in a similar role now to what he'd play were he to move to United in our 4-4-2 team setup and seems to be taking to it - then that's a good thing.

'the dutch cheryl cole'......wonder what fergie thinks about that...

The Talksport interview:

I love how he talks like he is ITK, but then slips up and says "we don't believe he is interested in a move to city"

It's basically a Twitter ITK making money on the radio.

'TS; any truth to the rumours of a deleted tweet declaring that he's on his way to England?'

The talksport guy must be a real muppet to ask such a question lol
