There seems to be something in this but i just cant see it, paying close to 200k a week and 35 million for a 27 year old goes against everything weve done in the market for years now, it would be a great signing but when have these ever come off? Benzema/Ozil/Sanchez you can name about a dozen over recent years where you just new it wasnt going to happen.

I'd just like to point out that Milano isn't actually very nice. It's certainly way down on the list of attractive, enjoyably liveable Italian cities. It's not exactly Barcelona, or even Rome. Aside from the fashion shopping aspect and the fact it's usually hot (though it's unbearably hot in the summer and everyone leaves anyway) Manchester is actually just as good, if not a better place to live IMO. If Mrs Wes is so obsessed with it, she's either a native, or a WAGtastic shopaholic. I'm going to go with the latter.
United are very secretive about their business. I wouldnt be surprised if we did make a £35mil bid that got rejected, therefore we moved on.

Not really. It's actually quite a shit hole Milan, whereas Manchester, in both the city center and outer suburban areas (well, where the footballers would live, just outside) is just as nice, if not nicer (everyone lives in flats in Milan for a start).. It's also far less polluted and putrid.
I mean yeah, culturally it's still a cool city to live, but it's not (to me at any rate) one of those ones where United fans can bemoan not having the geographical pull. Milan isn't all that.

Lived there for three years and the place isn't all that beautiful. However, it's still a very glamorous place for young people with money. There are a lot of shops, clubs and bars and footballers are truly treated like royalty (unless they're shit). If you want to get away, the lakes are close by. Definitely wouldn't mind living there if I was a footballer.
I suppose. It does depend on what kind of person you are. If she's a clubber (or a coffee in a cafe) type, yeah, but I still don't rank Milan as a particularly special city. That is just me though, and I haven't lived there tbf. Just visited quite a bit.

Kinda agree with Mockney; Milan is nothing special. Nice place, dont get me wrong, but its not the dream city some people make it out to be. The amount of smokers there is disgusting.
It's a cool world city - Manc ain't.
More by reputation IMO. But then so is Liverpool apparently.
