Wesley Sneijder

sorry didnt explain that well, he said if he was to stay he would have to play on the wing to accommodate Alvarez.

I highly doubt that an experienced top player like Sneijder would be used out of position because of some random young Argentinian talent.

I just cant take much more. All i want is some news from united. Its not much to ask.

i know that, doesnt make sense to me why they would sell a talent like him just reporting what he said.

I think we won't know anything for sure at least until page 150. Anyway, has any of these giant threads ever resulted in us buying a player? Berbatov but it was certain that we would get him and I'm not sure how many pages he got, anyone else?

The quotes that GIT Z RED attributed to Marcotti are here. Starts around the 15-minute mark.

He's not saying it's a done deal btw, he's saying it's a 'goer but it might take some time,' roughly translated with context he means it's feasible because the details of the transfer that have surfaced would be beneficial for everyone concerned.

Although technically we didn't buy him, the Tevez thread in 2007 was somewhat successful and that was enormous.

Carlos Tevez.

Good call. We were supposed to sign him earlier but because of dodgy ownership we dragged it for two or three weeks, didn't we?

The Inter fans on the 'net are going to go nuts about selling Sneijder. When Rafa was their coach, they wanted to tar & feather him, and fire him out of a cannon; so God knows what the fans will do when one of their favourites leaves the club.

Yeah, West Ham were laughably claiming they had unilaterally terminated Tevez's contract so they were keeping him, and they threatened to take it to the high court so MSI settled with them.

The way Marcotti put it was that ;Sneijder doesn't fit into Gasperinis 3-4-3 and with Alvarez coming, he'd be more on the wing and that doesn't really suit Sneijder.

Only thing concerning for me is in the ESPN Press Pass thing is they kept mentioning a bump in pay for Sneijder - saying that is good for everyone - Inter get a big fee, United get a player they need and Sneijder gets a pay raise. If his current salary is to be believed of 200k per week - a pay raise on top of that? I just can't see it. Maybe that is why personal terms haven't been agreed to yet.

The Berbatov thread had 485 pages.

We should have Shaka Hislop as a pundit over here. He's sentient and personable. Hasn't he got a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Astro Physics or something impressive like that too?

Jamie fecking Redknapp literally doesn't have one of those.
