We will never win the league with Paul Pogba in the team

Pogba is a playground footballer. Turns up to show off in games where the opposition are poor enough to allow us the luxury of him doing so. As soon as the team need him however, you can forget it.

He is more interested in inventing silly handshake routines, showing off, and wanting people to look at his hair, than he ever will be in working hard to help his team win a game.

He has the selfishness of a Gerrard or a Ronaldo but without any of the desire, determination, or basic maturity to go with it, and he's 24 years old. It is unlikely at this point he will ever grow up, and that means he will never be more than a liability in any game where it is important for him to put in work for the benefit of the team.

The idea some people have of playing him further forward because he doesn't work hard enough to play in central midfield is a nonsense...as if playing him in another position somehow makes it less important that he works hard. In a succesful team, every player works harder than Paul Pogba ever does.

The fact is that he is on a pedestal as United's best player, but when you look at City (i.e. the team top of the league), if Paul Pogba played for them in the same way he does for United, he would be told to either grow up or feck off. He wouldn't get close to getting a game for them unless he had a serious change of attitude. At United he seems to go completely unchecked for it because he can showboat around onceor twice every ten games, against the likes of Stoke.

That post is hilarious. Lots of preposterous stuff there but saying someone will not mature at all after the age of 24 is outrageously wrong. Your brain doesn’t even fully develop until you are 25 ffs!

He looks a different player under Ole for sure...although, so do Rashford, Herrera, Matic, Lindelof, Young etc. I think him and Rashford have been two of the best players in the league since Christmas.

Although, as far as the thread goes, it was a play on the Lukaku thread of the same title and theme, rather than me actually thinking having a particular player stops you from being able to win something. This was after a game in which Pogba had to be subbed off because he was refusing to play in the position Mourinho was asking him to play in. I mean it was literally next to the Lukaku thread on the same page for hours when I posted it. Also, we're fourth.

Just goes to show how quickly things inc fans opinions can change. Only Christmas some wanted him sold to now the very same people lauding him as the best midfielder in the world. There's nothing more fickle than a football fan....

Do you know for sure it's the "same people," though? I for one have never wanted Pogba sold. He's been my favourite player at United since he came back to us. His talent has never been in question, and the media narrative was often terrible and almost seemed generated by a need to see him fail at United. He's a gem of a player, and I've never wavered in that opinion.
 
Legit should have won worst thread of the year if it didnt already.
 
Not sure if this is more like the joking "we won't win with De Gea" thread or the serious "we won't win with Lukaku" thread.

I still maintain my belief we can will the league with both Lukaku (if he's fine staying with this different role meaning less games) and Pogba.
No proof so far, but hey the team is being led by the right leadership at the helm now who understands United.
 
If you see noodlehair player rating posts in the post match threads, you can tell the OP is just for a laugh as he's saying on above post.

We’d never finish above mid table in the league WITHOUT him in the team.
 
Pogba could get into any side that's capable of winning the league in Europe. It is just unfortunate he is not currently in one.

Add players of his quality and calibre to the side and then he can win one with United.

OP looking rather silly now haha, we can well and truly only blame the Portuguese Mr Bean for Pogba's early form at Man Utd, with his daft team set-ups and cowardly tactics. He's been nothing short of sensational under OGS, someone who has trusted him and allowed him to play to his strengths.

Pretty sure this started off as a Joke thread to mimic the Jose thread. Pointless over-reactions as always.
 
This was a parody thread. The fact that noodle got some serious replies, just shows how easy it is to make people react to a headline. And now, it's back, and it's happening again.

Where we are doesn't matter. Without him it would be worse and same was true last year . Regardless of the theme you opened yourself to ridicule with some of those ill judged comments :lol:

Pogba had won 4/4 league titles while at Juventus. This thread was always immensely stupid.
