Television We didn't all go to Gudger College

That episode was on the other day, too. I knew that scene was coming and I still giggled like a child when I saw it. The Simpsons' early seasons are absolute classics that I can still laugh to even though I know what happens next.

I love the prank calls to Moe in the early seasons from Bart and Lisa. Moe's reactions to them are hilarious. I actually think Moe is my favourite character outside the Simpsons family themselves, and maybe 2nd overall to Homer.

Just rewatched '22 Short Films about Springfield'.

Was watching some clips earlier and came across this one. At 2:10 they show a British pub being blown up, which is clearly an IRA reference. I was actually a little shocked when I noticed this, I certainly don't remember seeing it before but do remember pretty much everything else from the episode. Anyone know if it was cut from UK and Ireland versions? I'm not one to get offended by things but this really isn't something you joke about, weird scene.

I've noticed that too! The episodes on some DVDs have some scenes that were edited out of TV versions I believe, for reasons ranging from reducing duration, taking out unfunny bits and perhaps on the basis of taste like that one. There are other examples of this but I can't think of any right now. But when I watch episodes on Kiss Panda sometimes I see scenes that were definitely not on the TV edits I saw.

Simpsons were definitely a little bit edgy back then and not completely sanitized. I need to remember more examples though!

Yeah I'm really late here but those mashed-up jokes killed me. Amazing.
