We are an awfully coached team

I saw our coaching and pattern of play guys ! Spamming long balls to Rashford ! Well done Ole and team !

I’ve said this before, i’ll say it again. This is the man that got Cardiff relegated. Why on earth is good enough for us? For heaven’s sakes just please get rid of him. Love him as a legend, but he isn’t even a sunday league coach. And it finally looks like the players have given up on him too.

This is getting worse than Jose and LVG right now. At least we were hard to beat then, it was just unwatchable.

Saw this and couldn’t agree more, why the hell is he just sat there all the time it really winds me the hell up

The whole “we don’t press enough, Ronaldo & Pogba are lazy etc etc” arguments that have now been picked up by pundits, strike me as merely a really lazy way of repurposing the ol “they just need to try harder” schtick into more modern language… whilst conveniently ignoring how terrible we are at basically everything else - passing, playing into space or setting ourselves up as a remotely modern team..

It allows fans and the ‘Old Boy’ pundits to blame everything on the players whilst ostensibly pretending to be critical. We are a terrible, archaic team… managed and coached by people with no ingenuity who wouldn’t be hired by anyone else… how much we’re pressing has feck all to do with anything IMO

You know when you haven’t spoken in a while and it takes you a minute or two for your voice to sound normal. Do you think this is what all half time team talks are like for him?

It’ll be “if Fred scores those two chances or if Rasher’s scores at the end of the half it’s a different game and we’re up 3-2” from Ole and I’m so fecking done with “if …..” as that isn’t acceptable, I love Ole but he isn’t nor ever has been a good enough coach and we’re wasting so much talent with this joke of a set up.

Coaches got an extension last week ……

SAF spent most games sitting down too, so its not like one attitude is better than the other in all cases.

Everybody's shouting at each other about runs and positioning.

We've played 10 games this season and still nobody knows where their teammates are going to run? Really?

Yea, definitely will have to make a thread when the inevitable happens. All you have to do is look at post history and see who was right back then. I feel vindicated and all the abuse I got was uncalled for then.

Top reds like Wumminator who act like they're doing a service by abusing other posters.

Funny thing is the final thing he needed to do to make us compete again is to remove himself after all the deadwoods he shipped out. Ironic

Our best tactic today, and generally recently, has been hoof it up the park. Literally. This is big Sam level of coaching. He is awful. Still no Conte for me, but Zidane or whatever that dutch guy’s name is- lets get them in before liverpool. We can actually beat them without Ole; with him we will get shafted

I don't know why we have two holding midfielders and we still are losing the midfield battle in the half spaces. Just utter incompetence by everyone involved.

This is by some distance the worst I have seen United play . We have been boring in the past but the last few weeks we have been ripped apart every single game

Far from it. We've looked much worse than we have did so far tonight, but Atalanta scored from their only chance, which was a very good attack, and a single corner

Not even close to good enough, but we've been worse than tonight

Noticing that our most effective gameplan in this game is longball from our defense to Rashford. That seems like the only way we can break through defense. This just shows you how poor our attacking gameplan is when longballs is the most effective. I called it that this would be our approach before the game even started

2 holding midfielders who cannot defend, cannot hold their positions and pretty much don’t offer any protection. We can’t string 3 passes together in the opponents half.

No. This would be what Big Sam sees as an attacking system, but he knows how to keep a tight defense and grind out results. Comparing this defense to Big Sam level coaching is an insult on Big Sam.

I haven't been impressed with us for a long time but the talk of renewing the coaches contracts was the last straw.

A big part of managing is delegation and appointing an assistant/coaches that can cover for your weaknesses.
This team is so poor in every area of the game. Watching our forwards talking to each other to try to organise a press well into the 2nd half against Villareal was desperate.
We persevered with 4-2-3-1 for half a season when we had no-one capable of playing the role behind the forward until we bought Fernandes. We persevered with it when it was clear Pogba does not do well in a midfield two. Every time our half hearted press is broken there is so much space down the flanks because we don't even try to compress the play.
When we actually have the ball, we have no plan on what we are trying to do with it. Just an aimless pass it and hope something magically happens.

If Ole can look at this team and say that he and his coaching staff are doing enough to deserve new contracts and he's not considering changes things up, then that's the most damning thing of all.

What attacking gameplan?

Also lads, beware that if you say something the coaching staff is gonna get hurt

His so called safety net of McFred has failed and failed miserably…no cohesion, no runners off the ball, defenders are poor, zonal marking OMG don’t get me started, McKenna consulting FIFA 22 on the IPad…brutal, poor, crap, diabolical…take your pick

What are people talking about, there is no way this is the worst game we played under Ole, i know gold fish mode is enabled here more often than not but go check full match replay from last season vs Brighton away and even that game might not be the worst, we won the end somehow.

Seeing how Ronaldo makes these one two passes easily in tight areas and other players just messing it shows how poor our field coaches are. Definitely need big changes in coaching stuff.

Can't string 3 passes together. Every single fecking game I've watched this year bar Leeds and Newcastle the feckers can't string 3 passes together. Absolutely useless coaching/management. Get a god damn manager who works on passing in training.

Even if we come back and get something, its not good. No direction. Players just doing what they want. If we were actually coached, we would have passed the ball into the net at least twice given Ronaldo is was in good positions for some chances. Instead we are just doing what we want when we want.

It's so painful to watch how poorly coached we are. Literally every chance we ever create is made from opposition errors or a beautiful piece if skill from one of our star attackers. There's 0 tactical input going on, it's just a collection of individuals with nobody telling them how to play (other than go work hard guys). What the feck are we playing at keeping Ole still in charge?

I think the game against Leicester pretty much confirmed to most that Ole had no future here, any competent board would have done the necessary, and now we have under coached players playing for a manager that they know is on his way out, which leads to even worse performances like tonight.

I've been "Ole out" for a while, but I could kinda understand the "inners", but surely most of the fan base can tell that his day's are numbered, the club dragging this out are either incompetent or just plain cruel, my guess would be the former.

When Ole eventually moves on and when or if some other club employs him, can all the Ole lovers really see him being a decent manager and a sucess in football elswhere in the future.

The answer has always been no but anyone that's asked it was branded a hater.

I‘d have loved to have been a fly on the wall at Carrington and listen to this past 3 years of what has been happening there.

And then I’d probably kamikaze it into the kitchen fly zapper when I couldn’t stop hearing buzzwords like ‘United DNA’
