Was he in the squad?
On the bench. Was nice not to see him come on tbh.

Yer, I think Jose kept Zlatan on so he could score, if he had if I bet he would of been replaced with RooWas he in the squad?
Sat on the bench looking stone faced with Carrick when Fellaini came on.
He was apparently ill again in our last game. Anyone else not buying that, how many games has he missed now since he lost his undroppable status because he was "ill"?
.
For what? It's not like he pushes or improves us when he plays. Havent for years, actuallyWe will need all our players including Rooney in the run in.
With all due respect, that's complete tosh.Interesting topic for debate; would we see a more of the old Rooney if we were genuinely challenging for Premier Leagues and Champions Leagues?
Rooney only seems to play well when there is something important at stake and he's fired up for it. He's not the kind of player that plays well when we're not relevant. Also, can we afford to have players with that attitude?

Yes, I agree that Rooney seems to turn up only when he is under fire, under fire that affects his personal pride and legacy. But is that what we need? A player that turns up 2 times a season when the knives are out? For all this talk of him being a dressing room motivator he seems to think he has the choice of picking when to be motivated or fired up!Interesting topic for debate; would we see a more of the old Rooney if we were genuinely challenging for Premier Leagues and Champions Leagues?

Sadly it isFeck me, is that official?
People throw this word around to loosely.Wayne Rooney gave his all to this club. The guy was an absolute monster at his prime. A legend of the club who ran his socks off, threw himself into tackles, a fecking pitbull on the pitch. It is not his fault that the chosen one gave him this new shining contract. He is now on the bench, broke the record, why hate?
I am one of those that have had enough of Rooney, I respect what he did in the past but it´s a long time since, I would go back to when he,Ronaldo and Tevez were playing together. Fergie wanted to get rid of Rooney in his last season and Rooney threw a tantrum but Fergie had him on the bench and called his bluff. I lost respect for Rooney at that time due to his behaviour in Fergie´s last season. Fergie had it right in never standing still, always look at the the next thing to win but for me Rooney has lost his drive. He´s just not taking care of himself like a top athletes should do and being the highest paid player in the squad I do not find it unfair to expect more. Look at Ibra,Valencia,Ronaldo and others that take pride in being in top condition. Rooney should not get a free pass because of what he did in the past, he´s just judged on his current ability and Mourinho has done well to finally adress that problem. Do you guy´s think it´s not telling that the team is playing way better with him in the stands?
This is the bloody problem with this shit. That far back eh? He was shite when he scored bucketloads of goals the year after Ronnie left? He was shite in the later part of 2011 when he led us to the Champions League final? You can hate the guy all you want but it pisses me off when people like you rewrite history.
The more he misses, the better we look.
Hes a club legend due to what hes done, whats hes achieved. But we look better when he doesnt start. And we look better when hes not the goto first sub for us.

Absolutely. Put on FB by Man Utd Official pageFeck me, is that official?
You don't know our own Logan. He has "Claws of steel"Goodness me. That is so cringe, embarrassing and desperate. Who's that fat bloke in red though?
The league as a whole has improved though and SAF wouldn't have been able to keep that up on a shoestring. Which was evident once he hanged up his boots. Of course, agree with the general point that we would still have been entertaining to watch under SAF but I am liking what I see from Mourinho. He has completely realigned his way of working for the club which IMO is a great thing to do and proves that he really wants to do well here and be loved by the fans. This is where he feels he will become a footballing legend.Watching the Rooney goals clip on the MUTV app is kind of depressing. He's scored some fantastic goals for us over his time here. Even more depressing is how much different we look since Fergie retired. We used to get behind defenses with ease under Fergie and score some great goals. Our goals now seem so labored and happenstance. I know things are changing but what a difference we've become in 3 years.
Well done Wayne.
Is he negotiating his move to China? His injuries seem very mysterious
Probably not. Came across a Daniel Taylor article from before Christmas that has a relevant paragraph, including "Rooney’s advisers went on a fact‑finding mission to China last spring and reported back that the pitches were appalling, the standard as bad as everyone thought, and the referees even worse"
