He should've been sold when the opportunity was there. Nothing will change my mind. Far too prone to shite like that.
They were both better. Rooney was awful from minute one, throughout the whole match. Kagawa and Mata did at least have a decent 30 minutes and Mata wasn't wasting possession and stopping our play like Rooney did. He was by far the worst player on the pitch. Of that there is no doubt.
It's just wrong to scapegoat a player who's by far our most productive and best outfield player this season, and who's been an extremely important component of this football club for a decade. Just stop, please. It's wrong.
It's agenda-driven to say a player has been poor because it's Wayne Rooney. Grow up
Think it clicked today he is the problem. Last few games, injury or not have been unbelievably poor. If he isn't match fit then he shouldn't be fecking playing.

Completely agree with you about Moyes management of him, but given the fact wayne could break into your house on xmas morning, piss on your kids and crap on your turkey and it would be the houses fault for letting him in, I have to ask, if he had been on the bench today or subbed very early, would you honestly not have had an issue with that? It's just wrong to scapegoat a player who's by far our most productive and best outfield player this season, and who's been an extremely important component of this football club for a decade. Blame Moyes for his poor management of Rooney, it's true he's scared of high-profile players, and so will play Rooney and van Persie when they are not fit, and are scared to substitute or drop said players if they are playing poorly. However, don't blame the players for this, blame Moyes.
I personally don't disagree with a lot if what's been said recently. But I probably have an agenda.I think 'he's been poor' is a slight misrepresentation of some of the things that have been said about Rooney in this thread lately.

Moyes will get criticised for keeping him on, but despite being so poor throughout the game he could have had a goal and an assist in the last few minutes. Mata was equally poor today, why were people not calling for him to be hauled off?
He's been here for a decade, and nothing will ever change. The sad part is that we are going to be stuck with him as he's declining near his 30s and we get more and more of these performances. He will score goals, have good games here and there but he never has been in the top tier of players, although he does show flashes every now and then, they are just few and far between these days and we get more of the pub player Rooney.Somethings not right with him. Seems like he is going through is annual slump or he is carrying an injury. Welbeck or Hernandez really should be starting until he is up to his game again.
So every time one criticises a player they have to ensure equal criticism of the next player??No, it's just that when it *is* Wayne Rooney, the criticism comes much thicker and much faster than with certain other players. I don't think he played well today, but then nor did anyone else. Don't think he was much worse than Mata, Kagawa or Welbeck. He was actually better than a few others.
But it's Rooney who's getting the pelters. I understand it to an extent. He's supposed to be the star player, the world class match winner, and gets a pay packet to reflect that. So when he plays badly, there's bound to be criticism focused on him. There is also clearly some lingering resentment over the transfer requests.
All that said, I do think he's scapegoated to a degree, his 'shitness' hugely exaggerated. and he isn't given anything like the leeway more fashionable players are.
Alright then Rooney was very shit and Kagawa and Mata were just shit. Better? They were both better. Rooney was awful from minute one, throughout the whole match. Mata was average. Kagawa was poor. Rooney could barely have played worse than he did.Alright then Rooney was very shit and Kagawa and Mata were just shit. Better?

First it was crying because he wants to play as a striker, we play him as a striker and he still roams around the whole fecking field while we've got three players behind him who can produce and assist him and he still goes all the way down to the midfield to pick up the ball and then we've got nobody to finish in the box. By doing such shit he's only building confidence in Moyes to stick two fecking strikers because then there's nobody in the box. When RVP will be back we'll be back to awful Rooney-RVP partnership and will produce feck all again.
He wasnt talking about a single game
Yeah, he was obviously talking about Welbeck That one block is the biggest reason for his poor form.
Odd that he would bring this up after a game that Rooney was 20 yards deeper than him and didn't get in his way. Guess he was talking about a game a few weeks before. How odd! Or maybe he was referring to the couple of times he clashed with Welbeck in the box that game (maybe he feels it has happened before).
RvP doesn't think he's been poor now does he? I'm just talking about his 'running in my lines' comment said in the heat immediately after the game.

It's obviously Welbeck, player who once played 20 minutes alongside van Persie what was enough for Robin to blame him for his lack of form.
