I'm watching the replay of the Paddy show on MUTV - he says that he met Paul Stretford and his family in one of the private boxes at the Cardiff game, where Stretford asked Paddy to go on the show and make clear that the Shaun Custis article about Rooney wanting out, wanting to be captain, wanting to be involved in transfers, etc "is a load of rubbish". Colleen doesn't want to leave the area given how close her family are. Says Stretford was getting angry talking about it. Paddy mentioned to him that Rooney has the club over a barrel, but Stretford said that Rooney doesn't want to go anywhere.

So Paddy Crerand (in his new role of Paul Stretford's mouthpiece) seems to have countered most of the tabloid crap that's been written on the issue recently. Best source so far surely?

I dont believe the club would give him info about future targets and allow him to have a say in the transfer dealings we do to convince him to extend his contract with us.
 
Theres zero chance he's on 250k basic. More like 180k and then up to 70k from his image rights. Identical deal to RVP, who clearly doesn't make as much from image rights as Rooney does. It'll probably go to like 200k and then up to 100k from image rights I'd assume, going rate really, don't know the fuss.
