Time for him to give up #10 and go back to #8 or even #9
11 goals and 19 assists suggests otherwise

Of course it will be. He'll be available on a free and could offer 3-4 years to any team he goes to. Zlatan got a massive deal at PSG at pretty much the same age, van Persie moved to United at 29 and got a good deal too - with players of this quality you don't think twice before you offer them a very good deal. His marketing value is significant too.Agree, but his own ticket at 30 may not be attractive in terms of salary and term.
I won't even be that pissed anymore if he does join Chelsea. He's most likely off in the summer, so if Chelsea's the only team offering us something else in return then why not? Their going to sign a top striker anyways, and we would have to replace Rooney one way or another and what player could we sign better then Mata? Plus this way we get half a season of Rooney AND Mata, to help us get top 4 and help us with other targets like Gundogan et all.
He's off. He's been off for a good while in his head.
He got the hump when we signed rvp and he had to fight for his place, we are now on the verge of signing a sensational no. 10, rinse and repeat, he's off.
Nah he's offI don't think Moyes will be the one to shunt Rooney anywhere. Given the choice he'll play Mata either side of Rooney with RVP up front.
Januzaj - Rooney - MataThat'll be what he goes for, I reckon. Could work too.
RVP
Nah he's off
The only reason this mata transfer makes sale is if Rooney goes the other way.

Doesn't he mean why else would Chelsea sell him to us? All this business about Mourinho doing it because he loves SAF strikes me as incredibly naive. Tho maybe he really doesn't see us as a threat anymore. Which is rather insulting.I'm pretty sure they'll work together.
It just seems like such a un-mourinho like thing to do. It's madness to sell one of your best players to a rival. They'd easily find buyers from abroad for him. I can't think of any other reason that would justify it from Chelsea's pov.I'm pretty sure they'll work together.
c) Mureen is coming to united this summer and has "signed" Mata and Rooney is staying :-)Perhaps, perhaps. But Maureen is an odd one. I can see him sanctioning this move regardless. It seems to be a new thing of his. And United just entered talks with Stretford. Which surely means that a) the Mata deal is off or b) United have no intention to let Rooney go.
I find to hard to believe he would. I don't recall any "bizarre" moves by him in the transfer market. Like the deal pep did to get ibrahimovich was seriously odd. Mourinho has always been more pragmatic.Perhaps, perhaps. But Maureen is an odd one. I can see him sanctioning this move regardless. It seems to be a new thing of his. I've waited this long, the end is nigh, my suffering is nearly over..... I can feel itOne day, mate...one sweet day. But you might have to suffer through a testimonial before that happens.
The most I can see Rooney involved in the Mata transfer is that we promised Chelsea that IF we were to sell Rooney this summer, we wouldn't block a possible move to Chelsea.
Of course we would. He'd still have a year on his contract. We wouldn't be in any position to block it.
