He might've been paying Chicha back for the chip he (Wayne) tried when he should've squared it to Javier.

He was excellent today. Only real fault was that he could have swapped his decision making for the two link-ups with Hernandez. Should've passed the first time and shot the second, rather than the other way round.

String of unusual injuries aside, he's been good so far this season. If he's fit, I'd like to see him start again against Leverkusen. He thrives off playing when in form. Doesn't matter whether you start him 'wide' and Kagawa central or vice-versa, they'll end up doing the same things anyway. Evra will provide plenty of width, especially with the reassurance of knowing Carrick and Fellaini can provide plenty of defensive cover.

So far:

Swansea - very good sub appearance, two assists
Chelsea - our best player in a defensive match
Crystal Palace - voted man of the match it seems and a goal

Now here's hoping he can stay injury free and have a run of games.

Considering he's had very little football and an injury disrupted start to the season, he did well. He looks happier and eager to be involved again. The celebration for his goal was the perfect example of that. I just want some consistency for him from now on. Rooney in our team creating and scoring goals just feels right.

Not seen the game as had to go out to football myself
How did he celebrate following the goal? Or are we accepting that the whole leaving issue is behind him for the time being

Thought it was a typical Rooney game, general play was nothing to write home about but scored and nearly set one up for RVP.

Pretty much this.

Worked his sack off and made a lot of tackles and interceptions too.

He was happy, smiling and waved at the crowd (or maybe his people in the stands). Nothing like the Swansea match where he was still "angry and frustrated". He celebrated it with everyone in the team.

Punched Moyes in the face, gave the finger to the fans, ripped off his shirt to reveal a Chelsea shirt with "MOURINHO <3" on the back.

his form has been pretty good, considering that he usually needs games under his belt before he hits top form.

and he finally gets a goal as well, has been quite some time since his last united goal.

Agreed and, frankly, apart from the fk, I thought he wasn't very good on the afternoon. Enjoyed Fellaini & Adnan much more
Not sure what game you were watching but his movement was excellent, he was actively looking to be involved and was actively looking to set others up with chances. I thought he was our best player and funnily enough the MOTM thread shows most others thought similar, not to mention the MEN player ratings poll.

I think he will finally realize that playing together with RvP isn't such a bad thing after all, sign a new contract and pretend he never really intended to leave United anyway.

We all know his mood changes by now and if Moyes shows he plans with him he will be happy again.

Just 2 goals away from 200 for United. Hate him all you want but he's going to go down as a United legend.

 imagine you sad feckers if he is the clubs a time top scorer.

'Great player but total scrote his entire career. Not a club legend..'

So what ? He insulted the club again and again, I don't care about him being the club´s record goalscorer, I'll always see him as a cnut and value players like Scholes, Keane and Giggs more.

I despise how he behaved both of those summers and find it hard to be joyous about anything he does just now but watching him makes me realise how important it was to keep him. We can talk about ozil, fabregas, herrera and other players we missed but I do think nobody would do a better job than roonet on form. That pass to van persie yesterday was absolutely incredible. If ozil did it at arsenal we would have had a thread here of people crying and about 40 replays on match of the game. Get him playing well behind RVP and creative players beside him like kagawa and nani or an on form valencia and we are far and away a stronger side than any challengers.

Roy Keane, huh? How many rants has he had against the club and its players? Still a legend, and so will Rooney, if he does not leave next season.

Keane never acted like a spoiled brat. Rooney's never ranted about anything, he's fecking whined to the media through his entourage about it.
