Was he sulking because he wants to leave, or simply showing he'll do his talking on the pitch? Unfortunately my gut says the former, but I've no idea why you'd want to stop being part of this team.

if he does leave...in years to come..when he's retired...he'll state he regretted his decision to quit united..mark my words...

He was really good when he came despite not playing a game for us since April. Second assist was quality. Body language will improve after the window closes imo.

Because a player who isn't celebrating or smiling is one that is clearly unhappy, and it's dangerous to have a player like that around the dressing room. I think selling him to Chelsea could be a massive mistake potentially if he then performs for them, but the fact that he still looks very unhappy is obviously a worry.

It really is a tough decision to make for Moyes but for me it's clear cut. Maybe I'm naive and it's probably easier for me to say it behind my computer but I'd rather keep him and unhappy than sell him to Chelsea.

The Welbeck goal he didn't celebrate because someone tackled him from behind and he was grimacing.

His first assist was shit though, he did nothing out of the ordinary. Most of the assists he racks up are probably short sideway passes.

I take your point that the pass didn't make the goal but I would hardly say it was 'shit'. It was good awareness to turn it round the corner to RVP under pressure and then create space with the run.

Not sure why people are reading so much into his "body language". All I saw was him wanting to get on the ball all the time.

Although one match will never determine whether he wants to stay or go. Its clear though that the club won't sell him this summer and Moyes has a year or so to convince him to stay by playing him in his preferred position.

This. Selling him to Chelsea would hurt us far too much.

Didn't look like he wanted to be involved with celebrating with the players, I guess that's understandable, until there's no chance he'll move then I guess it will be awkward. However as expected when it came to playing he got his head down and got on with it.

Played excellent for his little cameo. Don't read anything into his facial expressions.. body language was perfect considering he assisted two. Once the windows shut and he is still her he will smile again.

Me too, although if we were to get a very good offer from a non-domestic rival then I would probably accept it.

That game shows why assist stats can be fecking useless sometimes. He comes off the pitch today with two assists because of the brilliance of others.

Are you new to football?

1st goal. Made the pass and then the run to pull 2 defenders away from RVP

2nd goal. Was the only player arsed to really attack Swansea at the end. Great probing run with the ball.

think we are wanting good money for a great footballer is all. Rooney obviously wants to leave for Chelsea. I would be surprised if he is still hear nextmonth.

there is absolutely no way that United should even think about selling him to Chelsea....and I just don't think they will...they'll just let his contract run down than do that..

I think foreign who are interested in him will wait at the latest possible moment to bid for him. I cannot see him being sold to Chelsea, Moyes will not make that mistake.

We cant let him go to Chelsea. Its would just be madness. Its not going to happen. He will have to accept a move abroad if he wants to leave.

The stats do flatter him although admittedly his pass for Welbeck's goal was very good, well timed and placed.

That was the biggest 'I don't belong here anymore' vibe I've ever got from a player. I don't really know what to make of this. He is a professional and will do his best when played but it surely comes across like he is not enjoying it anymore.

Hopefully with time things improve.

Don't care if he's unhappy or angry or hands in a transfer request. He's still not getting sold.

Selling him to Chelsea is not the answer but if he's going to sulk then I don't want him here. Sulking is part of the reason Ronaldo annoyed the feck out of me in his final season. Sell him to Arsenal if they want him

Decent(professional) performance from him, and that's about everything you can say about him today(except that he looked like his mother died).

I couldn't stand Berbatov's sulking and negative body language, if Rooney is going to do the same I wish he'd feck right off.
