Didn't look bothered, and I wouldve preferred Kagawa to have been on there instead. He was alright, but the first assist is flattering. Second was a good ball in fairness. Don't sell him to Chelsea anyway.

Keep him this season, and sell him to PSG next year when they are going for a new striker as usual.

He did alright today. Still, it's a bit disappointing that he's the focus of attention no matter what's going on with United.

Think those are reading a bit too much into his perceived body language. So he wasn't running around with a big grin on his face, so what? He often plays with a scowl.

I couldn't stand Berbatov's sulking and negative body language, if Rooney is going to do the same I wish he'd feck right off.

Berbatov and a few other players (Anelka, Hasselbaink as well) are always like that, it's just part of the way they play and not a sign they are unhappy with anything (other than not getting the right pass).

Yeah I know. They never interview the players you want to hear from or ask the questions you want answered.

Nice to see RVP all smiles at least.

But he does jump into celebrations. I agree with what wr8 said though these past couple of pages. Once the window shuts, his body language will change a bit.

He may be going bald & being blackmailed, but there's no excuse for sulking.

Does anyone know that United fan in the audience they asked about Rooney?

feck him off.

Right mardy arsed attitude today, he'll be alright after a few weeks. Still played well with good movement, bit rusty.

I don't understand the 'half-arsed' comments. I thought he covered alot of ground during the time he was on the pitch.
Are people really claiming he was playing half-arsed?

Anyone who watched the game and think he didn't try hard, play well or show he'll still be a huge asset for us this season is a bitter deluded twat.

Harsh reactions to the body language. It's about what we should expect and it's not really as bad as is being made out, or as bad as it could be. He made a great run for the 3rd goal and then took a bad tackle in setting up the 4th. He ran off the ball, made himself available, and did absolutely fine. And it was nice that the reception he got off the fans didn't seem negative at all. We should be happy with all that for today.

Yeah I know, but Berbatov still irked the feck out of me. If he was my team mate and I missed a pass to him, I would be so frustrated tp see him cavil rather than pep.

Best thing for Rooney is the window to slam shut.

Deep down I'm hoping Moyes has been trying to re-light the flame inside Wayne more than anything. People always wanted him tamed and calmed from his hot-headed attitude but Moyes likes a nutter.

I think it's the 4th. He got tackled as he passed it through to Welbeck, and was on the floor injured during the celebrations.

No, it's the 3rd. Welbeck ran behind the goal for his celebration and it looks like Van Persie is in the group celebrating yet he was subbed before the 4th goal.

I don't care whether he stays or go too much, I would rather he stays than to sell him to Chelsea, but after today, is there single person who thinks he never wanted to go, and that he is happy?

I think its disgraceful that he didn't pull a cartwheel after RVP scored. And where was the "Zup zup" dance after the Welbeck chip?

no..but it's not up to him...he's contracted and United would be so daft to sell him to Chelsea. If Arsenal come in...with a rediculously high bid, then fair enough...because he ain't winning anything there...

Fair enough. And btw I am I am not talking we should sell him, I am just saying it's that obvious that he wants to go.

This is going to tediously drag on until the last day of the transfer window either way, isn't it....

So it is. In that case, it's a very disappointing image.

He will get over it and get his move to Chelsea in 2 years. As long as its not the club who allows him to leave its all good.

Although I am fairly sure Chelsea will have moved on from wanting him 2 years from now.

He busted a lung drawing defenders to the right to make room for RVP's shot. Understandable he wasn't sprinting across the field to celebrate
