There is a lot of amateur body language reading going on here. Granted he wasn't exactly beaming ear to ear, but he did make a decent contribution, even if he clearly wasn't fully match fit.

He's not been with the first team squad for most of pre-season and probably doesn't feel like 'one of the lads' right now but he should still be making the effort. Hopefully Giggs or Ferdinand will be in his ear to try and build bridges between him and the rest of the squad.

It's a stupid image, and tells no real story. There are only 6 players in that huddle celebrating the goal. If you took a picture from the right angle behind any one of the other 4 not involved it would look no different.

I thought he did the right thing, he'd have been a complete twat if he'd went mental at the goals. He wasn't even grumpy, he was just reserved. Yeah, but that could be explained in that one that was in goal and that the other three were either in defence or on the opposite side of the pitch. You'd expect Rooney to have perhaps shown some enthusiasm considering he got an assist. No one is saying it's conclusive, but it's fairly clear that Rooney still looks like he doesn't want to be here whatever way you put it, even if you're discounting that image itself.
