Yeah, I mean feck the club that offers the player who had been a lynchpin of goal scoring a deal that better reflects the quality of himself and his standing in the league. Totally fecking bonkers that is.. I don't know how the club sleeps at night sometimes.

Don't act like such a mard arse.

Chelsea and City have the biggest wage bills in the league, I am sure you have got a couple of £200K+ players on your books. Not sure what sort wages Rooney would demand at a new club, I can't see him earning £250k a week.

He's not going to take a pay cut.

Rooney is not just a transfer, he's a statement.

Hmm...

"We need better players."

"I want more money."

"I'm off to City."

"Ooooh, now that's a lot of cash."

"I'm just big boned and get easily bored on treadmills."

"I hate Dutch strikers and people named Danny, it's not fair."

"The gaffer can go and **** himself."

"I'm a king in my mind so why not the King's Road."

With a white sarong tied around her waist, the mother-of-two wore her brunette locks pulled back off her face into a high bun, while sheltering her eyes from the sun with a pair of aviator shades.

Quite possibly the worst sentence ever written.

"Injured" and sent home for 3 weeks and just as the team comes back he's off on holiday. Do they think we're retarded?
Well, you are reading the article.. So I am going to say.. Yes.

Well, it was a stupid comment. Especially to question the player signing a deal three years (or whatever) ago when he was within touching distance of being one of the best footballers on the planet. Certainly output suggested a strong case. Of course his value is going to be different to now. (More or less)

I mean what a fecking shocking thing to do in giving him a deal that more reflected his footballing productivity.

The club have often done this when players are injured - let them go and get some proper rest in the heat abroad. Rio did it last year - were we selling him?

No sale to the chavs unless it involves Mata. I'd even be tempted by a straight swap, though cooler heads would demand Mata plus a cash payment of 20m.

I think our Wayne has taken quotes from Plech and put them on his shirt...or am I imagining things?

Is that another transplant or something hanging over Wayne's cap?

It's not so much about just getting £40m. If we agree to sell Wayne then we have to pay up the remainder of his contract. If he puts in a transfer request, then we will allegedly save close to £20m on wages. As it stands, £20m bids mean we will be giving him away for next to nothing once we pay him off.

Bit of a stalemate atm, we are refusing to sell, chelsea don't seem willing to up their bid, and Rooney doesn't seem to want to put in a transfer request. If Rooney is really that unhappy, then only he can really accelerate the process by putting in a transfer request. If he isn't willing to take that plunge, then he should stop whining and get on with his job.

Nearly got me.

Successful isn't being serious people.

Why do you say that? I'm hoping Wayne is staying on for the rest of his career. I believe the agent is the one to blame because he wants the money that comes with the transfer. Staying in Manchester United is not making enough money for him and Rooney is no more than a simple guy with very little education.

I'm fairly sure Wayne is getting paid quite well. Although we do not know the exact amount, Sir Alex did say it was definitely a bumper contract (one of the best-paid players in the PL). Wanting an improved contract for your football productivity is fine but it does not mean you can lead proceedings. He was our best player in 2010 and I hope we never find ourselves in such a situation ever again. I was indifferent at first but now, I would rather he leave. It's another situation Moyes has on his plate and if he stays, I can't imagine it going away anytime soon.

Henry Winter on talksport just said rooney to Chelsea was a done deal. Ramires + £15m.

Now before I get banned from posting spurious nonsense; I didn't hear the show, it was just texted to me. Didn't see anything on his twitter and too early for the papers to check but there you go.

FFS I want Rooney out , but this deal SUCKS BIG TIME

 Im a fan of Ramires, but I know what some peoples opinion of him on here is and that would be a hilarious deal

I thought that he was fantastic in that year you win the UCL (especially on that tournament). He wasn't on that level that year though. Would be interesting to see Chelsea's evaluation for him, personally I think that he's easily a 20m player. If we can't sign Cesc (or someone on top bracket) I wouldn't be against that deal (if it exist).

'Rooney has decided that he wants Chelsea', according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

About the source:

Anderson18 (Newbies' Forum) said:
Gianluca Di Marzio is only working for Sky Italia but is not their only "source". Di Marzio is the most reliable journalist there is at the moment. The argument about why would an Italian know was the same the Germans said when he broke the Guardiola and Lewandowski stories. I've read interviews with him. He only tweets things if he has certain proof.

Ramires + 15m?

Why stop there, how about 5m + John Terry and a friendship bracelet for Rio Ferdinand?

Rooney doesn't get to decide. If he wants to leave and Chelsea offer us a proposal that we find acceptable eg. Mata plus 15 million we let him go. If not, he stays and works his bollocks off in WC year to secure a place in that shite England team.
