I can't stop thinking about the fact that there is a chance, no matter how small it is, that we have rejected the chance of getting Juan Mata (plus 10million) for a player we no longer want or need.
If this ever turns out to be true, I may be driven to kill....
What we can therefore conclude is there isn't anyone, who is a fan of this club and is sane, that wouldn't accept a bid of Mata + £10 mil for Rooney. Thus, I can be fairly confident that this bid never happened....
Unless the one retarded wankpot who would reject it sits next to the United fax machine....
This is absolutely fantastic entertainment. Fabregas, Mata, Luiz, Rooney, Nani etc. It's like gameshow.
Ok, £15 million and Mata and Luiz and that sexy doctor they have on the bench.
Press association have reported it now. Seems to me that we maybe had a choice between Mata and Luiz? If we turned that down...feck me.
Assman?
There's not much point in it though, as there seems to be no reason why we would turn it down, or why Chelsea would offer such a stupid deal in the first place. I mean how can you offer Mata or Luiz? How is it one or the other, they aren't remotely similar value wise, and what team, - even without a single defender - would take Luiz over Mata if they were given a choice? It has to be rubbish. .

So the fact everyone is saying it's happened and it's all over every major news outlet it hasn't happened because you say so?
Up the cash offer, we'll deal. Be crazy not to take Mata.
Yes? I'm not asking you to base your opinion on what I believe, but I'm going to believe in what I think is the case. Do I think the story is true? No, not really.
I don't deny they might have made a bid, but I don't believe they offered us a choice of 10 million with either Mata or Luiz because in my mind it doesn't make sense at all.

I think they made a bid last night but the bit about Mata has to be made up. Do Chelsea really believe Luiz is worth as much as Mata?So the fact everyone is saying it's happened and it's all over every major news outlet it hasn't happened because you say so?

Mata could have had a falling out with the club, or want to leave... who knows?

Why in feck would Chelsea want rid of Mata?
Hello Moyes. Welcome to Manchester United. Time to sign the Worlds elite.
Thiago? "Nooo"
Ronaldo? "Nooo"
Mata? "Nooo!"
... *sigh* Fellaini? "YEEEEEESSSSS!"
oh come on guys...we have never had a transfer season like this one...it's bloody hillarious...
I don't think Chelsea do per se, but Maureen does.
whats happened in the last 12 hours
Well yeah - I seem to remember the murmurings of Barca being interested in Luiz earlier in the summer (or January - can't remember) and price tags of like £30-35m being banded about. So they obviously value him at a lot. He's a good player in fairness, very underrated on the Caf - obviously Mata is the one everyone would want though!I think they made a bid last night but the bit about Mata has to be made up. Do Chelsea really believe Luiz is worth as much as Mata?
I'm calling bullshit too. There's absolutely no logic in Chelsea offering Mata, who is their best player, for a 28 year old. Rooney or not.
It makes no sense.
Maybe the shock of the transfer offer caused a Vicar of Dibley esque speech impediment?
'No, no, no, no, no...' *Phone clicks off as Chelsea hang up the line* '...Yes'
I'd join you in your skepticism if it wasn't for the BBC and AP reporting it.
