Nice to know the tradition of the manager having a blazing 'this club ain't big enough for the both of us' tussle with one of the best players every so often has continued.

£10m + Mata? Moyes should fecking drive Wayne down there himself.

Unfortunately, every rumoured swap deal that has ever existed is just utter nonsense.

Lipton looks like he's died and been dug up out of a grave. He's also one of many, many journalists who cannot speak properly.

They're fecking bonkers to offer Mata. No way we're selling Rooney to Chelsea though, regardless of the offer.

Has his PR team been that awful in this saga? I think United have backed him into a real corner here and given him no real choice, his two public statements were both reactions to United led attempts at public discourse.

I think in the context of his stay at United this saga is him being a 'bellend' and another in a long line of reasons that most of us don't care if we see the back of him, but as an isolated incident I find it hard to accuse him of too much wrong doing.
He was given a choice. Knuckle down and apply himself. Seems he's chosen not to do that because he has nothing to prove. Should Rooney go to Chelsea he could become an even bigger hate figure than Tevez. Lets face it the man isn't going to be classy in this whole affair and certainly wouldn't be when we play against him.

If it does come out they've bidded £10 mil and Mata, and we've rejected it, I shall be absolutely fuming. But it's bullshit, they've probably bid £20-25 mil for an opening offer.

If we're getting one of the best players in the league for one of the best players in the league, i'd say thats a deal to suit both parties.

However, again, it's a totally bollocks story.

This. There's no way Chelsea have offered any players.

I think there's lots of stuff we don't know so personally it's wiser to plead ignorance. People who say sell him obviously don't appreciate his 9 years here. Could he have tried harder? He used to be one of the hardest workers. Maybe not in training but on the pitch. If we sell him, it will be a sad day. Personally, I'd rather back our player until such a time we sell him. He's not out the door. We do have the ability, just to ignore the press/media. Let's face it, we know their agenda. feck them and what will be will be.

Rooneys a dickhead when it's come to money. That is a fact. However, people writing him off are acting like children and if he don't leave with be singing a different tune if he has an injury free season next season. We need to focus on what matters which is the midfield, not feck about with Rooney. I disagree with Moyes on this. If we want to sell, have balls and get it done. Let's not deny anything and then sell him at the last minute and leave ourselves short.

I've said all along that I wouldn't care if Rooney leaves so long as it's abroad, but if Mata is coming the other way Chelsea can fecking have him as far as I'm concerned.

I'd snap their hand off if they offered Mata. They surely aren't that stupid though, more likely they offered something fairly like £15 million and no players, especially for an opening offer.

I'd do a johnmufc style post on how Moyes is a fecking idiot.

And then I'd cry.

Nice coordination from Rooney and his new Chelsea mates. Nice one Wayne, you'll fit in well there.

I just hate the idea of him playing for any domestic rival really. Not sure why.

Well we'd be getting arguably the second best player in the league, for a great player who's form is questionable. I'd give Rooney and 10m for Mata, never mind the 20m swing.

I know I said dont sell him to a domestic rival, but only sell him to a domestic rival if it means we get Mata.

If this is true and we some how feck up getting Mata and getting rid of Rooney I will be pissed.

Having Mata and Luiz in the same price band destroyed any credibility the article might have had.

Yep exactly, it can't be one or the other with 10m still being the same ffs. Anyone who rates Mata and Luiz on the same level in terms of value, are probably more angry and confused than Rooney.

What the feck is going on?
Shit just got real, yo!

I'm praying it's a £15 mil offer, just so we can have a gd' ol laugh in these troubled times.
