Tired of him complaining and making it all about himself. It's now reached the point where I think it's best if he just fecked off.

If we're serious about Fabregas, we could offer Rooney as part of a deal.

We absolutely cannot sell him without a replacement lined up. City got lambasted for not adding enough quality to their team to defend their title. If we sell Rooney we'd be hard pressed to even put out as good a team as we had last year, much less as good or better.

Disagree with that, he was pretty poor last season and I would prefer to see Kagawa play in his role behind Van Persie.

It wasn't quotes from Rooney, just a Sky journalist who has been speaking to people close to Rooney.

But on Chelsea, he just said that we know Chelsea and Arsenal are interested and when he spoke to Rooney's representatives/agent/whoever they said that Rooney is open to moving down to London from the North West.

Cheers.

I do think he's far too good a player to be second fiddle to anyone tbh. He's acted too cuntishly to demand anything though.

If we let him go to Chelsea we could live to regret it.

Definitely. No way should we sell him to a club in England. Like him or hate him, he's a top player. Am amazed Real arent in for him. He'd be perfect for them.

Get the feck out!!!

He believes he doesn't have to prove himself...So he has a pathetic season, RVP shines and basically carries us to the league with his goals and his overall play and Wayne Rooney is angry and confused at having to play second fiddle to him??

Get 25 million for this cnut and I'll drive him to his next destination myself

I dont think we need to directly replace him either. I'd rather have Kagawa play behind RVP and us sign a top left winger.

Sell Rooney, Buy Gundogan. Gundogan is my solution to everything at the moment.

Lets see if he has the balls to request a transfer officially.

What happens when Van Persie pulls a hamstring in mid-November?

We start with Hernandez or Welbeck.

No point have 2 such players if we arent even ready to play them in case of an injury. Not the ideal situation to have in case of a CL semi or something but having a 200k a wekk/ 30-35mil backup isnt much use either. If we keep Rooney, it has to be for a role bigger than "backup for RVP"

I'd rather give Januzaj and Will Keane chances than have Rooney stink up the place with his attitude.

He played 48 games for us last season and the same for Arsenal the season before, so the injury prone reputation should probably be cooled a little bit now. He seems perfectly fit.

When he is rested or gets a knock I'd be happy for Chich to play more games, he only started 9 league games last season but scored 10 goals, and his all round game has come on significantly from the 10/11 season.

He's ready to play a bigger role in the team IMO, I'd have no worries about him being our second choice striker.

What is he suppose to be confused and angry at?.

Sounds like a come get me plea to Chelsea more like

Calm down lads. I'm not in favour of keeping him, but what are those "close sources" that claimed that? SSN is full of shit these days, so take it with a pinch of salt.

How often are we supposed to give Wayne the benefit of the doubt?

I'd love to see the club stick him in the reserves and let him wait two years for his move to London.

If the club can afford the financial hit, I'd love to see him in the reserves for 2 years... give him the 6-7 games (10%?) so that he cant terminate his contract and let him rot..

Lets see which club would be willing to take him on big wages in 2 years time when he is a 30 year old fat feck who hasn't played any real football for months.

In reality, that won't happen.. it'd be great if it did

Moyes's press conference so far have told the entire story imo. We dont even need to wait for papers to print it. Had Rooney confirmed his desire to stay, Moyes would have said so rather than having to dodge the question with a "he's a united player and not for sale" line everytime.

I never did. I reached the stage of not caring whether he stays or not. Just saying we should wait and see how everything pans out. Who knows what those close sources really are.
After asking at least once for a transfer he really has no reason to complain after everything this club has done for him before and also after that incident, that's for sure.

Selling him to a pl rival will go down as a very low moment. Cant think of much worse in avoidable circumstances in my lifetime of following Utd

I've said before, he's over his peak...in two years he will deteriate further. I wasn't one of those who wanted him to go, but if he's whinging like this ( and of course its just rumours...no statement from Wayne himself)...its' just going to make Moyes' life so much harder. It's time he went. It's a pity..because I just know one day he will regret this....

So obvious he's leaving even before this. He's not happy and wants to leave, it's time we cashed in.

As KM said, lets see if he has any bollocks to submit a transfer request. Because if he really wants to go that should surely seal it.

We're gonna need him as his linking with Van Persie is getting better and it will surely be a factor to defend the title.

I wonder when he's gonna speak openly about his current situation as this silence doesn't help him win other fans, at all.

not a matter of whether we're able to do it financially mate. you simply cant do that to a player regardless of what he says/does. we'l cause an uproar in the entire football community.

Last season shows that he has plenty to prove, considering he is no longer the number 1 striker at the club. He complains that the club don't match his ambitions, or don't bring in enough top players, then we sign the best striker in the league and now he's unhappy again.

With respect, that has been confirmed as just a bargaining angle on his part. He never questioned our ambitions, he just said so to hold us ransom. Not classy that either, admittedly, but a different thing.

I'm not surprised he's "angry and confused" at Moyes' comment - if we can believe these "sources". I had hoped he would've reacted differently, but I'm not surprised at all. Saying explicitly that he is second to RVP in the main striker role...well, it's a straight message for yer money! I still believe this can go either way, however: When Moyes gets a chance to talk to him again, he will no doubt elaborate on this statement - in which he also praised Rooney, let's not forget that. I think Moyes will tell him that he has every chance to play a prominent part for us, perhaps even in what appears to be his favoured role - but that he will have to work bloody hard in order to achieve this. If Rooney can't take that as a man, and goes of sulking - well, there you go. Or rather, there he goes.

But I still say selling him to a PL rival is out of the question. If he's not happy to go to the continent we'll find ourselves in a very uncomfortable situation, but so be it. If we are a team of principles, one that refuse to let a player become to big for his boots, then we shouldn't strengthen our rivals either, just because said player doesn't want to learn French.

According to SSN, he's angry and confused as to how the club has treated him.

Angry and confused that we helped make him a world star and a highly paid player.

He really needs to feck off. Tired of him honestly.

Still not sure about selling him to Chelsea. They really need someone like him badly.
