Wayne can't match his hair's ambitions.

I've always said it's about the hair with him. Those implants or transplants or whatever the hell they are have made him fat and complacent. Who knows, the bloke who did the operation might've thrown in some of Charlie Adam's old follicles there. Now the hair is losing its grip on him - and presto, he looks leaner and sharper straight away. He needs to give up the sham, go natural, become a bald, bitter, raging goal machine.

Rooney staying will be like a new signing.

:nervous:

It won't. But his hair might. Rooney staying is very important. We can't really replace him. Who else can be that versatile and still statistically consistent with goals for anywhere near a price which doesn't rage from 'Expensive' to 'feck right off' ?

Injured, returning home from the tour. Bloody hell, is it only Welbeck out there now?

So much for the "best shape in 5 years"

Cynic would say returning home to finalize a move to Chelsea.

I bet that's the angle the papers will take.

Hamstring injury? He must have tripped over the rope in the canteen rushing for the sausages :(

Well if he actually was in the best shape he's been in during preseason for years all that's going to be cancelled out now. I can't wait to watch Rooney be shit for the first month or so of the season now.

Why does he need to fly home so soon? Why not stay there and bond with the team and new manager?

All the club doctors, nurses and kings men who could put humpty together again will be on the tour.

I'm VERY suspicious about this. I don't like this one bit.

Got to laugh at this.

Having said that I think it's a genuine injury. I don't think something dramatic happened in one day so much so that Rooney is sent home.

In before headlines about Rooney and Moyes having a bust up in the duty free and Wayne taking the first plane home proclaiming "I'm off to Bayern with Thiago!"

Better to stay at home and rest rather than travelling for the next month.

It's a shame for the people abroad who probably wanted to see him.

Seems completely legitimate though. I'd be surprised if this was a 'hamstring' injury as opposed to an actual hamstring injury.

Think this is genuine. There was no need for him to go all the way to Thailand only to come back the very next day

Rooney rumors, Nani off, Fergie off, Vidic injured, Thiago going to Munich, Strootman off to Roma. Can this summer get any worse? I fully expect us to make Hibbert our first signing now.

If it were a conspiracy, he never would have boarded the plane in the first place. I see no reason not to take this on face value. It's easy to forget he has a young family at home, he might have just come back to spend more time with Klay.

Probably a coincidence but it wouldn't be completely shocking to find out we've had a suitable bid made and he's returning home to finalize a move.

In all seriousness, this does kind of put a damper on his hopes for the new season. Hamstring injuries especially right before the season really suck. Now he's going to miss his entire pre season and he'll have to spend about a month once he's back to work his way up to fitness, and who knows if this isn't anything more then just the 1 month because hamstrings are pretty tricky injuries. Remember the Nani one from last season that kept him out for something like 3 months even though it wasn't meant to be anything serious?

Is this true? Christ on pills. Pre-season ruined for him, then. And no Thiago. Not the grandest of days, one could say.

Oh don't worry about Thiago. The thread will be opened when we announce the signing.

Rooney's a more pressing concern.

He's one of those players that needs a good break and a good pre-season to get going. Disappointing that he'll miss out on that now.

So who do we have on tour striker wise now? Just Welbeck?
