Is this secret meeting between Moyes & Rooney today or has it already happened?

Poor old Moyes trundling about in a Chevrolet thingy...

I'm sure he'll live with it when he asks about a player and then unlike the last 10 years finds out he can actually buy them.

Crunch Talks sounds good. I imagine in "Crunch Talks" every thing is said in raised tones and theres lots of fists being banged on tables.

Yep. Imagine a showdown as being something directed by Robert Rodriguez, whereas crunch talks would be directed by Quentin Tarantino. The former would have Moyes and Rooney played by Antonio Banderas and Justin Timberlake; whereas Tarantino would cast Steve Buscemi as David Moyes and have Rooney played by Chow Yun Fat. Tell me which sounds cooler?

Thread title updated to include all the major updates from today's events.

I would pay good money to see Chow Yun Fat as Wayne Rooney.

Moyes is in a sky blue shirt. Selling Rooney to City. Done deal.

Moyes clocking in at 7.30am

Good man, none of this 8:05 shit anymore...

Its on!!

I really don't understand how Falcao goes for over £50m, Cavani won't be sold for less than £50m, yet the figures surrounding Rooney are only £25m.

Okay, so we know that both Moyes and Rooney can in fact, drive motor viechles.

I feel this is valuable information.

Beckham you could easily imagine living in Spain or France, but Rooney and his missus?

I don't see it. Rooney is from the north.

I also don't see the point of moving to a London club if it is a fresh challenge and new start he's after.

No, I think this is just about making the maximum paycheck he can while he is still important to United's success. In which case Rooney will get paid and stay.

If the club think Van Persie and Kagawa and Chicharito are enough. Or if they can get a Cavani or a Lewandowski to come to United, then they may tire of Rooney's demands and show him the door.

Personally I don't begrudge Rooney earning as much as he can while he still has a career. On the pitch he has always been willing to put a shift in wherever the manager played him. He has so much experience at the club, and he is a nice lad when he isn't listening to his agent's advice. Plus, form is temporary, class is permanent.

Hoping Rooney stays.

There's quotes from our former fitness coach Mike Clegg basically calling him lazy today. Doesn't seem to think much about him at all

Yeah that's going to do well for our valuation of him isn't it! Bloody muppets, at least wait until we've sold him to dish the dirt. Unless Moyes is the man to convince him to stay again.

Because their scoring record last season was superior in addition to the fact that Rooney has stated he wants to leave probably has something to do with it. I cant think of any other explanation

I tell ya what is starting to feck me off thought, all these Chelsea cnuts trying to court Rooney, now Cech is weighing in with his two cents worth.

They should conduct the meeting Redknapp style, pull alongside each other windows down and get it done.
