Yeah, apparently he changed the details on his Twitter account a month ago, same with Cleverley.
If there's absolutely no truth in the rumours then why hasn't he said something? He has before on his Twitter.

Not sure what Keys is getting at re the United agenda though. Why would United create such a fuss? If they wanted rid they could do so easily, they wouldn't have to publically drum up interest like this.

To Chelsea? £40 to £50million, and not a penny less.

To abroad? £30 to £35million.

Seems about right, although £30m a bit too low - going abroad would be the ideal scenario of course but he would never survive.

He was on about United agendas before when Nevs was harsh on De Gea on Sky sports.

I'd like it to go something like this;

Deserves to carry onto this page.

Erm hasn't it been confirmed he did ask for a move?
No. Confirmed to the journos who broke the story basically means they were told by a source, off the record. There are no quotes other than a spokesman saying he's not for sale.

It is very strange how Keys is adamant he's not asked for a move. Doubt he'd go against the grain like this if he hadn't been told by someone who'd know, even Rooney himself.

Yes, but Keys is an incredible twat. Plus, the bitterest man in showbiz.

But surely Rooney could just come out and say it's bollocks, like he has before.

Unless he's pissing himself laughing at this shit storm and thinks it's all hilarious.

Sunday will tell us a lot about his future at the club, personally I'd be amazed if he was involved at all

I'm still faintly hopeful the journos all got duped by a bad source, he signs a new contract, has a great season next year and it can be rubbed in the faces of all those who are actively hating our 4th top goalscorer of all time.

Realistically, he's leaving. I'll wish him all the best, made a massive contribution during his time here and I wish everyone would recognise that and do the same, rather than acting like bitchy teenage girls because a footballer has the cheek to want to move to another club.

Oh i dunno, after we got knocked out of the CL he stated in his typically smug fashion that Nani knew exactly what he was doing [meant to make contact] and it was an indisputable red card.

He was a bit like that today during the paper review with Jonathan Wilson, sneering at all the reports because his unspecified sources are superior.

Particularly as his employers are saying the very opposite.

Kagawa also did not tweet anything. But, that is more likely down to the fact he doesn't speak English and can't pronounce 'Moyes' let alone type 'Fergie'.

Kagawa tweeted;

"我々はモウリーニョモイーズを欲しかった!何もファーギーに感謝"

If his removing of MUFC from his twitter page is genuine (I haven't been able to keep up with the latest today,) then he really is a cretin. To bring the attention on himself like that at a time when United and its fans are going through an emotional roller coaster due to SAF's leaving is pretty hard to forgive (and speaks volumes about his maturity.) However, if none of the above really happened, then I take it all back (but still wouldn't be that gutted to see him moved along.)

The Twitter bio means nothing! He did it a month ago, so did Tom Cleverley. It was obviously at Nike's request.

He's a pundit for the boxing on Boxnation now and I think it's only a matter of time before he gets on the wrong end of someone with the way he's going there. He's a complete twat ripping boxers apart on TV dispite never lacing them up himself.

Fair enough. Didn't know about that. I still think it's a bit much that he's asking to leave (again that's assuming that the reports are accurate,) given that we've basically gone out and met his demands from 2010 (ie. ambition in the market and his salary packet.)

Fair enough but his opinion on a red card decision is a bit different from contradicting his own employers and several other journos on this matter.

Radio silence on the twitter front is more suggestive however.

I mean i'd heard that hadn't rebutted the newspaper reports but for him to have no words for SAF, what's that all about? No doubt there will have been words when the announcement was made yet such quiet in public could easily be interpreted as a slight. Either way it's not a mix which reflects well on Rooney at the moment.

Is it a way of stopping all of the wanklords on twitter popping up spouting their Rooney Bollocks?

Maybe he just doesn't want to read the shite coming out of the common mouth since there is so much shite coming from paid journo's?

Just a thought.

Agreed, if there was nothing in the story I think we'd have heard something from Rooney. He's done it before, on his Twitter.

Just don't want people looking into his bio changing, there's absolutely nothing to that.

There was a surprisingly silence from all our players, although it's only been 48 hours oddly enough. I imagine they were told not to comment until a certain time - Rio put up 1 solitary tweet eventually, and then was elected along with Carrick to release some quotes today.

Plech was talking about football becoming the equivalent of the gossip in heat magazine the other day, and I can certainly see what he's talking about. We've got grown men bitching about a player because he's yet to post a cushy twitter message telling us how he likes Ferguson... Maybe he's got more important things going on his life?

Twitter in general has fecked the world over.

Nobody needs a 24hr bollocks connection to every player and everybody in the game 'OH HE TWEETED DIZ GUIZE'. I mean this has already fecked the entire transfer window up.

Grown men who have high paying jobs are getting sucked into bollock spouting on social media and that for me is quite sad.

Rather Poirot magazine than Heat i suspect. :)

People are looking for clues and hints to go along with those rumblings in the background prior to this. Rooney and or his agent have not been shy in the past of using the media and against the club at that.

The timing has naturally added to the reaction too.

Indeed - I'd expect Giggs and Scholes at the very, very least to have said something about Sir Alex by now; also RVP and Evra are keen interviewees generally. I also suspect the players have been told to hold back right now for whatever reason. The Rio and Carrick quotes came through MUTV, so perhaps the Club are more open to that avenue in order to control the output.

The Rooney situation is too confused right now clearly, though IF he wants to move on then I'd personally miss him but wish him well. I'd hope he has the class not to cause a fuss (this time...), or force a move to a rival (title rival at least; I doubt he'd be interested in Leeds or Liverpool ).

Also IF there is truth in all this, then I'm disappointed they couldn't wait two weeks for it to become public knowledge after the WBA game - even without the Sir Alex situation, the season is so close to over and there's the trophy on Sunday and parade on Monday; it's not ideal timing to be stirring-up the supporters.

Just listened to their bit on talksport today, he seems to be suggesting it's a United leak. He says there may have been a conversation with the manager as is inevitable, but he just wants to know what his future is given the diminishing faith shown in him this season, but he did not ask to leave.

I think his source is definitely someone from the Rooney camp or Rooney himself. The agenda he talks about I'm not sure, maybe Rooney feels it's an attempt from the club to ensure Rooney is blamed by the fans for his departure this summer when it's the club who want him out.

If the club wants him out it'd be the managers decision. And would Ferguson make that decision with his imminent retirement?
