He is chubby. Doubt it was deep enough to get to the muscles.
Plenty of fat in the way

Were you expecting a ""?

Go collect your prawn sandwich and get out.

I am wrong to think it is a sectional slice cut? At first I thought it was a deep cut to the bone, but that may be a huge slice cutoff. Some of these players wear those blade boots that I hate so much, they can cut you up as if you are a roasted turkey.
How do you stitch cutoffs like that? Where do you get the skin from?

What a blow to Rooney this is going to be. He is already well out of form and it might take him even longer to get back to top gear after a months layoff. The good thing is maybe it gives him a nice little break after a summer spent with that dire England side.

Don't blame him as I'm squeamish m'self. I can't stand the sight of blood and gore. I was at OT when that poor lad from Coventry broke his leg and that made me want to heave.

I'm shocked you don't recall his name, I watched that on the box live years ago and never forgot his name the poor fecker, he never played again neither.

Dave Busst

Big Pete was seriously f'd up watching that. I didn't even think you break a leg like that playing football. The Busst injury is certainly the worst I remember seeing. Awful freak of a break.

He'll miss Southampton, Wigan and the first Champions League game if he is indeed out for a month. I expect he'll come back sooner than that - so he should be ready for the Liverpool game a month from now or so.

And take another couple of weeks to get his form back....

Staring at Rooney's gash has made me come over a little queer.

I was in the scoreboard end about 15-20 feet from that incident. The amount of blood the groundsmen washed away was shocking.

He might have a job on his hands getting back in the team, especially if we go on a good run. Could be the making of him this season. He's never been one to shirk a challenge.

Could be the best thing for United and Roo... looked more purposeful on the pitch when he came on after being dropped. Rest and recovery. Don't rush him back too soon.

RVP's goal should make him realise that we have another guy who can do this.

It's no good that he's unavailable, but for the first time in ages, I don't think we'll really miss too much with him being out given the form Kagawa has started in and the availability of van Persie, Welbeck and Chicharito. Another reason why Kagawa was one of the most inspired signings we've made over the last decade (and yes, saying that is probably well over the top and a knee-jerk, but feck it, I love Shinji).

Just when I thought about time City had to do it without Augero we go and lose our best player for the same time span.

Yeah he had a front row seat for seeing his leg shatter there n then. I think Irwin also had a few issues and needed to see the docs afterwards. Dave Feary also got a lot of praise for taking charge of the situation at the time. Busst was lucky it happened at a ground whereby there was some of the best medical staff at that time working. He may have even lost the leg full stop due to infection if it had happened years earlier. He was very unlucky with catching MRSA aswel that really just fecked up the whole rehabilitation process altogether.

Nahh, he's not our best player anymore.

He's struggling to make top three right now.

I'm surprised you've changed your opinion on Rooney so much. I'd say he's a better player now than when you made this thread; and when you made this thread, you rated him extremely highly.

He's still our best player IMO. Unplayable when he gets going, he can do everything.

Except dribble tbf.

On top form, he's an incredible player. Its just that nowadays, we rarely seem to see his top form. He's become such an inconsistent player. When he's really on it, he's unplayable, but that happens about 5 times a season. Its a shame really.
