65 million is mental
“If you bring one player in for £100m and he gets injured, then it all goes through the chimney,” the Reds boss said.
“The day that this is football, I’m not in a job anymore, because the game is about playing together.
“Other clubs can go out and spend more money and collect top players. I want to do it differently. I would even do it differently if I could spend that money.”
Exactly. It will be very nice if every time Pogba touches the ball, it's not preceded by, "For the price Manchester United paid, Pogba..."Insane price. Let's see if Jamie Redknapp and Phil Thompson mentions it every time they are on TV.
£80M for a poor mans bramble and wages of 752K a week.
Ruining football.

He loved playing the whole me against the world shtick. Referred to his team as Robin Hoods at Dortmund. Times change, eh Jurg?£80M for a poor mans bramble and wages of 752K a week.

Intent. If nothing else, this is possibly the biggest show of intent in the market Liverpool have shown for years. In terms of competing for a signature, it's possibly Liverpool's biggest signing since Collymore.
HaBuying another Southampton player? You've been doing it for years now
Multiple sources have said £60M, he has five years on his contract and they've already said he's not for sale. Liverpool are going to have pay up and the Saints board will be laughing. It won't be £60m or £65m, nowhere near, and if it is that will be if Liverpool win the title and UCL or whatever.
So might become a good cup team, a bit like...What a clown
My estimation of Klopp has seriously deminished since he joined the scousers, he is just nuts and fits them perfectly.
I estimate they will continue to beat the top half teams but stuggle for consistency where it really matters.
I didn't say that, they might get to some finals but will bottle it as they have done for the past half decade. So might become a good cup team, a bit like...
Surely they're due a free player on their loyalty card sometime soon
You really think he wouldn't be an improvement on Rojo, Jones and Smalling? I think he would improve us massively.Good defender but nothing special and wouldn't really be an improvement on what we already have especially not for £60m. Glad United didn't get involved in this.
I hate the price tag but feck it, I'd rather pay 60 for him and 25 for Keane tbh
Fixed.Liverpool spending 60M for the CB that Soton brought for 10m to replace the 20M CB Liverpool purchased from them.

Nah, this is when we pretend we've missed out on the next Rio, Vidic or someone of similar level. Is this when we all pretend that he isn't class then?
And or than?
VvD best of the three mentioned but feck me thats a lot of money for a CB. Varane would be 90M
I think more important than both is Romeu.Southampton conceded 23 goals in the 21 PL games he played last season. 25 in the 18 he missed. Thing is, Fonte left around the same time Van Dijk got injured so I don't know who's loss was more significant
Than, sorry. It's crazy money, struggling to get my head around it, but it's not my money so feck it.
Keane that bad you wouldnt buy him for almost 1/3 of the price of VvD

The price is a different matter. But in terms of quality, he would improve every team in the league except Tottenham maybe.
60m. Nuts, cant get over that fee. He isn't even the best cb in the prem.
