Chelsea are more than welcome to sign him for £150m+, the price at which he'll turn out to be a dud.

Watching Istanbul Başakşehir against Gent. Gent has a player called Orban. He is GOOOOD. Forward, fast, technical and can use both feet. We should have a serious look at him. Gent bought him 31/1 this year. He has already scored 13 goals in 10 games, and is having a hat trick right now (within 3 minutes)… he could be the next big thing
He'll be £75m+ by the summer. £120m by next summer if he continues like this.

Anyway at least he scores goals, unlike that other next big thing, Sesko.

We will go for Jonathan David I think for about 50mil
He'd be an excellent squad/second choice striker, a Weghorst upgrade. As our main striker of this new era, nowhere near what we should be looking at. We're trying to become the best team in Europe.

It was actually kinda funny watching people get upset about not signing Sesko. I imagine he'd have been a slight improvement over Weghorst and they wanted us to spend 75M on him.

Very much doubt we will sign osmihen. The napoli owner strikes me as being levy esque to negotiate with

 One of the reasons why I believe he will adapt to the EPL. He's huge aerial threat.

Best striker in Europe, better then Haaland

If he comes to United we'll win the league next season (providing he stays fit)

One of the several differences between us and ETH's Ajax tactically is the amount both teams opt to cross the ball, with us crossing the fourth least in the PL where they fired a lot in towards Haller.

If we did sign Osimhen, you would expect that change. He's a ridiculous aerial threat.

He is the real deal, Kane was never an option compared to this beautiful man. Sign the bastard, priority number 1 please

He’s going to be the hottest property in Europe this summer. I really hope we’ve got new owners by then because there’s absolutely no way the Glazers are sanctioning this transfer with the money that will be required to sign him.

I disagree with this assessment that strikers need to be highly proficient technically. Does Haaland have a world class touch ? Haaland for all his goals this season has been typical of a poacher his positioning, movement and intuition to second balls is what's keeping his name on the score sheet. All the above which have nothing to do with technical proficiency. Osimhen is a much needed reinforcement to a position that has the worst outfield player in with Weghorst.

As fans we can only speculate on evidence to what ETH wants. At Ajax he never had a versatile 9 as a forward more traditional strikers. There's very little to suggest the club are looking for a player in the mould of G.Jesus. Even though this profile of player would help the team perform, every single winger at United with the exception of Rashford is not clinical (jury is out with Garnacho but he has promising signs). On the basis of United's wide players alone the team is in need of a strikers striker more than a false 9, drop into midfield and help build the attack individual.

I mean except for the fact that ETH loved Martial and everything he brought to the team (for the few games he was fit). And Haaland is a terrible example, he's a physical freak of nature up top and can get away with not being great technically because he's a generational goalscorer.

As far as Osimhen goes, I think he'd be great for us mainly because he brings elite physical traits and an elite technical trait (his heading ability) to offset being average on the ball. The bottom line is the strikers market is pretty bare anyways, and it can't be ignored that we need reinforcements up front anyways, so unless we'd go the route of cheaper strikers and an elite wide forward or something similar, he's the best choice/

How much would be cost? 150m?
Lets hope we have the qatari oil secured soon

Tbf to Rashford and Antony I would suspect that to a large degree the lack of crosses is an active and very changeable choice on the manager's part.

This season we've averaged fewer crosses per game than we have in any of the previous six seasons, beyond which fbref doesn't have stats for crosses. And also just 60% of the crosses Ajax averaged per game in ETH's last season there.

And on an individual level Bruno has put in the lowest rate of crosses in his recorded career thus far, ditto Rashford, ditto Antony, Dalot the fewest since he joined United and Shaw half the crosses that he did in previous two seasons. Etc etc.

Which makes sense given one of the main issues in our attack this season has been the lack of that classic centre-forward threat in the box. Our main goal threat is Rashford, not that sort of player in the slightest. Neither is Martial. Ronaldo while great in the air wasn't a #9 and was constantly looking to vactate that position. And the 6'6" Weghorst has been both surprisingly unimpressive in the air and surprisingly utilised in a deeper position in a lot of games.

Put an actual aerial threat into the team as a constant presence in the opposition box and I think you'd see that tactical shift. Wide attackers aside, it's easy to imagine Bruno and Eriksen (our current two most prolific crossers of the ball) benefiting a lot from having that classic CF to target as well.

Added another 20m to his price tag tonight. I doubt that we can afford him unless we spend 80% of our budget on him.

Bossed it tonight. Interested to see how he does against better opposition in the later rounds.
