"VAR's chec...check complete"

Review seemed to be over before they even started.
According to BBC they said "not sustained holding and no impact on the play". It is just amazing what kind of stupidity they can come up with.

Yeah they come out with total nonsense to try and justify not giving a decision.

That foul on Guehi not being given is a joke.
For me TAA’s holding of Chalobah is worse as he’s got two hands gripping him as he grapples him around and it’s Chalobah who actually strikes the ball and makes a hash of it because of TAA’s interference. TAA never once competes for the ball either.

Trent has two arms on the first Palace player (who manages to flick a foot at it), then VD uses two hands to pull Guehi back… and VAR says that’s fine.

… but Bruno’s heel tapping Maddison halfway up his shin is a red.

And Webb will hide behind “high threshold for overturns this season”.

That's a terrible decision, but when you're the best defender ever, you'll get away with things like that.

Bankes rewarded with his awful var performance last weekend by getting the city game today. Mates club without any standards or accountability

Can see a near future of AI refereeing with sensors and cameras. How can you ever have transparency with humans? We can all see the replays and they still gaslight us.

'Ah but you see, Van Dick was merely attempting to extend the hand of friendship to Guehi and this immense act of kindness caused Marc to fall over with pure emotion'.

Dear referees,

I appreciate we ruined your childhoods, but you are being paid to do a professional job so put on your big boy pants and get over it.

Every time we come out looking somewhat competent the refs try to feck us. Like Jesus Christ we suck enough without you stepping in. Almost feel for Ten Hag. Every foul a booking for us but not them.

I think he's been fine except for extremely harsh yellows on Eriksen and Mainoo. The Eriksen in particular is identical to Barkley no more than 10 minutes later, and...nothing.

Will see if he makes the big decision, but there's absolutely no need to be handing out yellows for those two challenges.

I've said it before but I have a conspiracy they implement these nonsense year-to-year micro adjustments to interpretations of IFAB's rules to limit the discourse around showing their inconsistency. They use it, as per your example, to stop us comparing Rodri's dive last season resulting in a penalty with van Disney pulling over a player to prevent a goalscoring opportunity not resulting in a penalty/ref card.

Barkley should’ve seen red for that high challenge on Evans, commentators just brushed over it, if it was Bruno or Casemiro they’d have replayed it a hundred times by now.

Rashford should have had a second yellow here

This ref has been horribly inconsistent with his bookings. Some that have been dished out shouldn’t have been. Yet Barkley and Rashford have both avoided clear yellows.
