Because the last time he protested about a decision he was sent off for it.Then why didn't Dalot protest?
He dives, but there's contact.

If Dalot had raised his arms in protest it would have resulted in two yellows. Not sure what we want players to do anymore. No but this one was, I just need to look at Dalot to know it was.
If that wasn't given for us we'd be raging
It's giving a last minute penalty away. He's deflated. Plus players have been booked all season for arguing with the referee..
If you think touching a player on the thigh with the outside of your hand is enough contact for a penalty.. game is officially gone. feck this
Because the last time he said something to a referee he was sent off for it.
He probably remembers how Oliver gave him two yellow cards in 3 seconds for waving his arms at Anfield, when Oliver wrongly gave Liverpool a throw in.I can’t answer as to why Dalot didn’t protest more, but the replay is pretty fecking clear in terms of the lack of contact. Last time i checked, it‘s contact and not amount of protesting that means something.

That's the genius part. Because there is absolutely feck all accountability in that job they don't need to.In a world where Hojlund doesn’t get a pen after being wrestled to the ground by Gabriel, how can they justify either of those tonight?
Not a chance we get even one at Stamford bridge. We wouldn't have gotten either of those pens. Both were so soft. We've had so many blatant calls turned down this season.
Yeah seen that too, his foot clips Madueke and he falls over. However, Madueke then has a couple of strides after that and falls over. Clearly that contact didn't cause him to fall over. Looks like a dive in full honesty, but can understand why it was given.Even more reason to protest surely?
Also it's not the arm, it's the sight trip... Way I see it it's the reason Dalot himself was falling over.

This same ref decided that hojlund being ripped down at arsenal was NOT a penalty. Make sense of that if it isn't cheating
Well that makes sense then. Bitter that Ten Hag complained about him with that call.
Referees have that bent copper mentality
Both pens kind of fall into this category for me. They look like pens to the naked eye, and then when you see the replay it's so soft. VAR doesn't deem it in the realm of 'clear and obvious' error, whatever that means anymore. This perfectly sums up my thoughts.
Its a dive but I see why it was given.

That is a rough one to call. I would say its more likely a dive than pen.
One of the softest pens I've ever seen. Bloody joke.
Still don’t know what the ref was doing at the time as one, he couldn’t see the contact and two, he paused for a bit. Why? You either think it’s a pen or not. If you’re not sure, don’t give it and see if VAR ask you to have a look…This perfectly sums up my thoughts.

Softer than the first? One of the softest pens I've ever seen. Bloody joke.
Given the way VAR was looking at it they thought so too but football rules are so much stricter than how the game is usually reffed that they couldn't overturn it.Yeah seen that too, his foot clips Madueke and he falls over. The pens have been discussed a lot and will be a lot more yet. As should VARs role in not sending him to the screen.Gillet gave one of the worst refereeing displays I have ever seen. He ranks alongside Michael Oliver and that Slovenian gangster from the Atletico Madrid match two seasons ago.
