The penalty not given in this Liverpool game is scandalous honestly. Literally zero reason to explain this decision
Which one?
Odegaard handball
Best angle about halfway through videoIve only seen a still shot of that one and it looked like he was falling with his arm in a natural position but I saw the TAA one on the telly and that one looked like it was shoulder to shoulder to me so no pen.

Fantastic100% a penalty
Fantastic
That's absolutely shocking. Even my hatred for Liverpool can't stop my eyes from seeing how blatant that is.Blatant penalty:
Edit: Looks like another obvious handball was missed in the Forest Bournemouth game too. VAR couldn't confirm it was in the area.
Blatant penalty:
Odegaard?Wut?
If you watched the Liverpool - Arsenal game today, Liverpool were at it again. Salah showed obvious dissent a couple times = no booking, cynical professional fouls = no booking, obvious diving = no booking. Klopp going fecking mental on the touch line, berating the officials = no card. I think it's the baying of the Anfield crowd that gets to the referee. In both our game and this one, Liverpool got treated with kid gloves.Yes we ask for cards for Salah and Nunez only because Dalot was given TWO cards. If Dalot was given just one card, no one would be talking about Nunez or Salah even though it would have been justified to ask.
The problem is the referee didn't "jump" only on one side. He keeps jumping towards a different side to a similar situation in the same game. That's where the problem is.

the PGMOL could do themselves a favor and reverse/end this rule. If they can re-officiate actions, they can see when yellows were wrongly awarded. They want it so that the "truth" is shown on VAR but we just have soldier on if it goes against us. feck them and feck VAR, by the way.I'm aware yes.
Sooner or later this is what I want to see. If the match is unwinnable and a terrible decision is made by VAR, I would love to see a mgr take his team off.The state of var and refs is embarassing
that boly one especially. Manager should just walk his team off after a decision as bad as that. Unbelievable.
The sooner VAR is scrapped the better, at worst the threshold for intervention should be raised massively so it's only used for things like Thatcher’s foul on Pedro Mendes. So about once a season if that.
It ruins the flow of the game, it's inconsistently applied, ruins goals celebrations. For offside, it's not even accurate because of the limited FPS in capturing exactly when the ball is kicked, better off just going with daylight margin of error and accepting there will be the odd mistake. Football was not designed for digital refereeing and it doesn't work, ruining the spectacle whilst still having numerous unfair decisions, things that are reviewed in one game and not another, not even to mention the outright mistakes.
I enjoyed our game in the League cup v Newcastle much more knowing no VAR. They should pull the plug from next season.

Yeah that's an astonishingly bad decision. That's absolutely shocking. Even my hatred for Liverpool can't stop my eyes from seeing how blatant that is.
Seems like this is a weekly occurrence these days. The standard of officiating in this league is in the gutter, an absolute disgrace for the so called best league in the world.
Those two situations are nothing. There are many more. We all know how we are treated by referees. The only one who doesn't seems to be our club because I've not seen once any official complaint or statement released about this.Gordon gets booked for a cynical foul, sarcastically claps the ref and no second yellow for dissent like Dalot. Good to see it's another rule we'll only see enforced once this season, again to United's detriment, like the Rodri simulation being adjudged as a penalty.
It's difficult. On one hand I don't want a Klopp or Arteta cry baby manager trying to corruptly influence referees or writing statements. On the other hand, we don't even acknowledge the obvious narrative which is referees happy to enforce rules against us and give opposition teams favourable decisions as they'll get an easy ride in the press. Those two situations are nothing.
