VAR, Refs and Linesmen | General Discussion

So Gabriel's chokeslam against hoilund wasn't given yet they deemed this a pen??

How can anyone support the continued use of VAR in the game when absolutely, completely shit 50/50 (if that) calls like this is the outcome?

I'm done. I turned the TV off and I'm out of football for a while. The game is officialy dead what an absolute joke

Dirty part-time Saudi officials giving penalty to their city owner boss.

No suprise.

They look for anything soft to give against us and yet make up random shite not to give us blatant pens, it stinks.

Honestly insane how they keep fecking us over. Where was this against Arsenal when Højlund was wrestled down?

Ten Hag needs to make a big deal out of this. Its pathetic how rules are different from team to team.

Not watching anymore. Sport is done and it’s basically being decided by a bunch of clowns sitting in a room. They do whatever they like every week

Happy with it being a pen.... if it's consistency implemented. As with every rule. Refs can't have their own individual rule books.

What’s the point in starting our games at 0-0. Might as well just start at 0-1 and say that’s for the obvious penalty you’re either not going to give for us or give to the opposition.

He really does need to go all guns blazing and take a fine. Hojlund wrestled to the ground and not even a check.

We need to protest as a club. We need to have investigation. This is beyond incompetence.

They just played it at full speed and it he definitely bought it.
Oliver took 5 minutes, slowed it down and made it look as bad as possible

Genuinely, Ten Hag needs to start kicking up a fecking stink about this. We are seriously being screwed by refs and yet the only time anyone bats an eye is when a call goes in our favour.

I’m so confused by the decision. Was it clear and obvious? Why was it reviewed once play continued for a good couple of minutes?

They keep making up the rules on VAR every week. And it definitely feels like it’s against us so far this season. Had so many bad called against us. The only one we had was the Onana one against Wolves.

This is the same ref who did not give a red to Kovacic twice in our game against City. Not even trying to be subtle.

In what world would you be happy that that is a pen? If that is a pen then we'd see 3 or 4 pens a game as this sort of contact happens constantly on set pieces. It's some fantasy world that Michael Oliver lives in where he has given this pen. Like they even needed that help.

How is this even a penalty when such stuff are happening every game. We alwaysa re receiving such tustle and never even gotten once before. And the supposed foul was not even anywhere near the ball where it could have an impact on goal scoring. Spoilt the game.

That's a foul by Stones by the way if the penalty is given. Last man as well so if it'd been one of ours we'd probably be a fecking man light.

Yes, unlimited money for buying players and also suitable for ref's side
After addition of VAR, they can control it within every motion, every mistake, every touching, every angle in a mini second. everything they want
