VAR, Refs and Linesmen | General Discussion

If you didn't know and had to guess which ref this was, then just on how he looks you'd put Cootes at the bottom of your list.

He looks like the stereotypical nice wife, nice kids, sensible car, one beer on a Friday night, brisk walks in the countryside, spreadsheet spending plans, pension in place, sort of guy.

Just mad how you can ruin your career so easily nowadays.

The integrity of the referees has never been lower. Interesting to see how the managers and fans react when the league returns.

This thread took a turn. Fecking hilarious now these complete clowns in charge of officiating a billion pound product.

Bear in mind this is the same person who was thick enough to let someone film him calling Klopp a cnut. Twice.

True, but even that makes a lot more sense than filming himself snorting nose candy during the Euros, which he was working at, and sending it around. It would explain a lot of his refereeing, however.

No way he actually did an illegal substance.

Also, wonder who he’s pissed off.
If he likes the bag he likes the bag. Being at the euros isn't gonna stop him, If anything it'll encourage so long as they're not getting drug tested.
It’s a thing. Cokeheads often carry round a dedicated, rolled up dollar bill. Never been too sure why. Maybe they think it makes them look gangsta?
That's not a thing. Atleast not in the UK.

Jokes aside, it’s a horrendous look for the league. Opens him up to all sorts of implications including whether or not he’s been blackmailed with these vids and which other refs are potentially involved.

People can argue he shouldnt lose his job for what he said but the fact he’s able to be influenced to be in a situation like that speaks volumes. With city in this league, integrity is already at an all time low. Seems like we’re just sinking further.

Kinda weirdly feel sorry for him.

If you think you are having a bad week, just imagine being this poor fecker

Hope he has good people around him

Why release the video now and not last week or not next week? Would make you wonder if it was anything to do with not giving the penalties against Liverpool.
