Reading that Durbin voted against the bill for procedural reasons, so that he could bring back the amendment at a later date.
Warner & Carper voted against it because they dont agree with the amendment.
Ya saw the same thing. Collins voted for!
Its good to see Pelosi starting to take these harassment allegations seriously.
For years the GOP and it's hate talk and faux news contingent has mislead the public on the ACA being passed "fast" when it took nearly 18 months of arguing and whanot, with both sides having had time to review, make recommendations, etc. Yet here is the GOP pushing a major legislation as fast as possible while trying to cram bullshit through.
Just when you think the shite cant get any worse, then comes the GOP Tax Bill. If this doesn make everyone cynical of politicians.

This is what the US needs to stop making the same mistakes again and again. She was no good. Trump is immeasurably worse of course, but that election was the one that put the country in a no-win position.
She would right now be facing impeachment had she won. This was an election that led to a constitutional crisis whatever the result, because money and donors own both parties. You are at peak citizens united, it will destroy the US unless it is overturned.

I agree with all you have said. I’ve just read the article though and it’s not nearly as explosive as it sounds and certainly not the deal Fox and co are about to make of it.
It says that Comey and his team were being very careful with the language as to condemn her actions while make it clear that they are not reccomending pressing any charges.
So it was Comey’s direction to doctor the language to make it what they deemed appropriate for their reccomendations. After making the changes, it was validated by other members of the team.
They found out from the metadata that it was him that made the changes, I won’t be surprised if Comey testifies that he was following orders rather than it being a rogue agent quietly meddling where he shouldn’t.
The right wing media will blow this up but I don't think this was impeachment worthy offence in anyway. Statements undergo several changes during drafting process. Only the final statement matters as long as you can justify the language and terms used.

Unfortunately i had a conversation with my Trump supporting Mom (funnily enough, used to live in Alabama too) today who came over to the UK to visit Family, i asked her a few questions - "Would you still continue to support Trump if you find your taxes are going to be MORE than his promised tax cut for you?" she said "yup, i will support him no matter what" then she went off into a batshit insanity crap about liberal media and "Democrats are just obstructing Trump's cause and everything he stands for" then into quite a laughable statement of "You should see what he's done for the Economy, the *NFD* (she meant Stock markets?) going through the roof under Trump" to which i replied... "that is not how economics works, Thank you Obama" then i get accused of being Brainwashed and if i don't support the President then i shouldn't live in the United States because if you don't support the President you are not Patriotic and you should get out ... all i could do after that was laugh and shout this scene.
It basically goes to prove that Trump has his loyal core support no matter what, when you are that uneducated and brainwashed that you buy that much into his ideology of "fake news" and "liberal media" nothing will really derail his cult.

How many times has a known evangelical leader found him/herself in legal troubles for various charges/crimes? Even when being convicted and/or paying fines the flock take the leader back with the usual "he was lead on by the devil" or some shit. Yet, that pales in comparison to lower level evangelicals like your local pastors getting caught in numerous crimes across the gambit, only to be readily forgiven by the masses. Then there's the Catholic church and its base continually ignoring the problems within while giving more money to the Church. And finally, cults which technically all religions are IMO, that will follow their leader to death if necessary.
