An army veteran has come forward to claim Franken groped her while she was deployed in Kuwait.
It looks more and more likely that this is an opportunity missed to differentiate the parties. Seems both parties are as bad as each other.
I’m very disappointed. Franken should’ve resigned at least a week ago.
Yeah sexual assault has no party affiliation. There can't be a false equivalency in terms of response though. I mean Anthony Weiner is in jail while Roy Moore will likely be a senator.
Having said that, the Dems aren't perfect by any means and it has probably gotten to the stage where Franken has to go.

I had no expectations that the reps would take the high road but I hoped that the dems would.
It would be foolhardy to think they’re a perfect political party.

Fair enough. Outline what you think they should do better rather than create a false equivalency. They're a political party so makes sense for it to be calculated. Senate seats are a premium at the moment particularly when it comes to the vote for the tax bill. It’s understandable why they’re not as quick as you would like.
I certainly don't see the responses as equivalent. Just not different enough. Just heard Pelosi and it seems she is changing her tune. I guess the data came in.
That is not something I ever want to get used to over here in the UK, terrorist attacks or not.

If the reason is 'the deficit', I'm afraid the word **** is the only accurate description. They have just seen exactly how much the opposition, the public at large, and Wall Street itself cares about the deficit.
