US Politics

3 months to go and the Dems have no united message.
the Corporate owned centrists dont want the Progressives to run with what people want/need.
If the DNC sticks to just being anti-Trump they are done.

the Mueller investigation is more than just about collusion, which Pence is also involved in. Trump then gave the own goal of Helsinki.
Mueller is working on the crimes Trump and family have commited.

So if the Dems take over the house, the Presidency itself may be the reward.

The choice is about what you want to do for voters. The message.

Not about just trying to win.
My point is, 1 message probably isn’t going to work in the diverse collection of congressional seats up for grabs right now.

Do what it takes to win now, and then worry about the unifying message for 2020.

I forgot..and so did everyone else apparently.

"The Better Deal" Yeah. that really resonated.

Pelosi was so defensive about Ocasio-Cortez win.

Sanders only brought up Trump in speaking about Health care and Social security. He emphasized Medicare For All. The Trillion that was added to the National debt to give tax cuts to those at the top.

Health Care and Social Security matters to everyone.

without a unifying message that resonates brings us another 2016.

If the DNC does not learn, disaster awaits.

In a myriad-faceted midterm election, it certainly should be about winning at all costs. Trying to champion less than stellar candidates like Ocasio-Cortez as what will cure our party’s ills will only cause us to not have success in 2018. Once a foothold is gained in Congress, then work on uniting.

To think otherwise at such a critical juncture is just foolish. We need to get Ds back in office this year. Rationalism & pragmatism have to exist within our party this year to hopefully gain enough footing to allow progressive interests to more fully take hold in the near future.

as I said elswhere its not about the candidate. And Ocasio Cortex is an honest candidate that speaks about what matters to ordinary people.

Health care and Social Security. Education.

They matter to everyone.

You dont win by simply calling out the other guy.

Don’t think we are doing only that, but why not use that as a part of your campaign?

There is an old golf axiom - It ain’t how, but how many.

That’s how we should look at this election. However it works to get more Democrats in office is fine by me. Let’s work on getting more progressive after that.

To be fair- I was a bit disappointed the way this got reported. It's not like he went along with the chant - I think it's important to read or hear the whole response he had to it. It seems more likely he is playing along just enough to give Trump the feeling he is still one of his. Sessions is obviously still a twat in his own right but he is not dumb.

Why are kids chanting it? That's more concerning to me.

It was a Turning Point USA rally - a conservative student group funded by conservative millionaires, which keeps a watchlist of leftist professors, which became briefly famous for...

That Kirk fella looks like a right prick. I'd imagine it would be hard to stave off the raging adrenaline inside when having to debate/listen to this assclown.

Comments...
LabNerd: This Kirk guy seems like he masturbates with his dick sandwiched between a Bible and a copy of Atlas Shrugged

I like to think they were a Liberty Valance screenshots account from 2013-2015

Here's a lesson on becoming a GOP and elevating one's persona. 1) be a talk show host/host your own channel; 2) being attractive isn't a negative thing (or have a great makeup team); 3) constantly defend Trump et al; 4) shout about voter fraud (gaslighting of course) and emphasis only Dems benefit from voter fraud; 5) use 'patriot' as much as possible; and we could probably list a few more from this account I stumbled onto after reading a post in another thread.
