So Sharapova's horrendous serving costs her the set 6-3. Wozniacki is quite a poor number one imo. Serena and Cjisters are way better than her.

Wozniacki's family come from my little town in Poland, she comes to visit every now and then and a friend of mine is good friends with her. :smirk:

Quality of tennis in this Robredo Youzny match is not too great. Too many short balls and poor defense by both players.

Robredo leads 4-3. This tournament has been a rebirth of sorts for Robredo. He's been missing for so long.
 
So Murray, what exactly happened to him? There was talk that his crappy form earlier in the year was him pacing himself to peak at New York, and yet he went out with tamely again like last year.

Best chance ever for Nadal to win it, Murray's gone, no Del Potro, no Soderling in his path and Federer's mental block against him will always give him a fighting chance against him on any surface.
 
Exactly. Nadal will never have a better chance at USO. If he does not win it this time god knows when he will.

Epic epic match on Armstrong. Verdasco came back from 2 sets to love down to level it at 2-2. Then he was a break down in the 5th set and came back from that to take it to a tie break.
Ferer 4-2 up in the tie break now.

Kim beats Stosur in 3 sets. Mental final set it was!
 
Verdasco takes it 7-4 in the tiebrea. Unbelievable mental strength to come back the amount of times that he did.
 
Absolutely stunning performance from nadal. Yet to drop serve in the tournament!

The Verdasco game was out of this world. Utter brilliance. The comeback from Verdasco was magnificent. 2 sets to love down. Break down in the 5th. 4-1 down in the final set tie break. He came back from the dead so many times in one single match and the winner on match point was :eek:

Agree with the part about Kim. She looked poor on serve in the 3rd set today. Still think she'll get past Venus though. Kim's had quite a tough draw till now.

I was not pleased.
