Monfils should have been in the top 5 for two or three seasons now. I am so disappointed with the way he unfolded; he basically relies on his physical abilities, playing a very defensive game with the odd ace. He had it all to be a great attacking type, but no one could harness his incredible potential.

About the crowd.. I thought the US fans love him? He has done a couple of on court cameos for their benefit, and I remember a lot of US media really taking to him.

The scheduling at the USO is a bit of a joke tbh. Tonight Hingis/Kourninova vs Wilander/Cash is on before Nadal vs Verdasco
1 set all now. Youzny takes the 2nd set tie break. The conditions really are horrendous with the wind over here. 68 unforced errors by the two of them in just 2 sets.
