JFC, if Pulisic hits the first man again on a set piece he should be substituted.

Also, Paramount+ needs to get their technical shit together. The stream quality is horrific.

Agreed on the ref, but to be expected as this is #CONCACAF.

As to your questions the answer to both is the same. Berhalter loves him some MLS players.

This game is not even close in terms of quality but a single moment of shit and it’s 1-0
 
Memory might be hazy, but the Bob Bradley and Bruce Arena (first stint) teams were more dangerous despite being "weaker" on paper.

This US team seems to lack the killer ball in the final third, so far.

Been a professional performance from us. A bit sloppy with the fouls here and there, but staying compact and frustrating the US. Borjan with another fantastic save.

I don’t disagree. This US team is infinitely more talented than those earlier teams. The difference is those teams had decent coaching. This team has a guy who sucked in MLS. Bradley and Arena dominated MLS the last few years.
 
This just depressing to watch quality players running around the field playing like a U8 team. GB is such a fecking joke.

Just seems odd to blame your MLS guys when you only have three on right now - one being the goalkeeper.

The goal is on Robinson, but since then he's been fine. Dealing with our counters well in the small bursts we have them.

Zardes is a weird one. Do you not have anyone better and established? He seems more fit to be a bench/sub player at a higher level.

Pepi is a better finisher and distributor.

we are really struggling at striker right now. Berhalter absolutely loves Zardes as he coached him at Columbus. Dike is injured but, like Sargent, likely would not have been called in anyways. Giochinni and Pefok suffer from the condition of not being US based and not being stars. Pepi? No idea why he is sitting on the bench.
 
Just like the first half Zardes is dropping back to almost a 6 role. If that is the plan Berhalter should be fired. If that is on Zardes he should be yanked. How the feck are we supppised to score if our striker is 50 yards from the goal when the attack begins!
 
Game is better now. Only Dest is a bit shit, to paraphrase Raphael van der Vaart

For some reason, the commentators talk about "Berhalter-ball" and the US's magnificient "positional play" as if their were playing some Cruyffian Pep style football. Why is that? Because Berhalter is also bald?

Damn. Watched about 30 minutes now but couldn't take it any longer. Such a talented squad but they just play like headless chickens. I don't think the US would beat the likes of Finland with this football. Whenever I've watched US teams they always had that team spirit, doing it together, good teams. Now just a bunch of individuals from what I've seen.

Not playing Aaronson and Pepi together is an odd move. Both looked like the most threatening players when they were on.
