Wouldn't care for a Sahin or Pastore ahead of Carrick or Cleverly perhaps, no?
What the feck has Cleverley with barely 20 appearances in the premier league (probably less) done to earn a place in anyones dream midfield.
Sure he has potential but thats mental.
You can't replace them for Carrick because then it becomes too attacking.
My dream midfield is Barcelona's. I meant a kind of realistic dream.
I watched Dortmund recently, and was looking forward to Sahin and Gotze. I was not impressed. Gotze did not look special, and Sahin was quite slow. I do wonder about Pastore, how many people have actually watched this player play 90 minutes?
Cleverley will be superb in the centre. I am so excited about this player.
Sahin and Gotze are potentially brilliant, and both offer more defensively than Carrick has in recent years, especially Gotze.
Well I might just wait and see how it pans out myself....
Wilshire would be an ideal signing but I doubt he'd come to us, or that Arsenal would sell.

If you are talking about a "Dream midfield", how can Cleverly and to some extend Carrick be a part of it.
Especially Cleverly. He's played a 20 odd games maybe in the PL.

Experience is over rated, Wilshere. There must be a point where you give the player the experience and stop talking about lack of games. I think we made a huge mistake letting Cleverley go to Wigan.
Oh you mean the Wilshire who for the last 3 years has been touted at the most talented young player in England?
Only because Wenger has allowed him the games to express his talent. Ferguson has delayed Cleverley, who I rate just as highly as Wilshere.
Wilshire is the exception not the rule.
Ferguson is focused on using every last drop from the likes of Scholes and Giggs, and not selling Gibson when everyone knows he is not good, and this is so frustrating when there is a position in our midfield absolutely perfect for Cleverley. Yes, but how can a young player with so little experience, play in the centre midfield in the Premier League, I hear you say. He has the talent, he must play. My 'dream midfield' is maybe possible that is why I still dream of it. I don't dream of something that is unrealistic.

Cleverly still can't regularly get into the Wigan team. He has talent but to claim he is on a par with Wilshire is madness. Bloody hell.

He was starting before he get injured, now he is back has been eased into the team

He's looked alright for Wigan I suppose. Watched him a few times.
Might be a decent player in the future but he'll have to develop a hell of a lot to ever get in the first team on a regular basis.
I for one won't be heaping all of my eggs into said basket.

I think we'll get three in the summer. I reckon Rodwell will be the most expensive though, and I do believe he's almost certain to join. I think the chat in Feb about a player they were talking to but it couldn't happen then was Rodwell.

What's wrong with having Cleverly or indeed any young player from the youth team at United in your 'dream' United team, along side two more established PL/European players?? I'd love us to bed in a few more youngsters myself, like say Baracelona do, in particular the likes of Welbeck and Cleverly who are surely good enough to be given chances that Richards et al have had over the years.
Cleverly as attacking plus a new Hargreaves/Ince/Keane type and a deeper lying player maker of the Scholes/Deco type would be a dream IMO. United don't really buy superstar names or those hyped up in the transfer press so Carrick, Cleverly + one top signing for CM would probably be a dream, certainly Carrick of old.
Dream team doesn't always mean rush out and do a Real Madrid/Perez IMO.

The problem is that Scholesy's "dream team" would dominate all other midfields in world football, in Scholesy's mind. But weird things happen in Scholesy's mind. In reality they wouldnt be much better than what we have now.

How much have you seen of Henderson to say he's capable of playing in our MF ?
Certainly not the world class prospects from all the players we've been linked with ?
But let's reserve our judgment until he actually gets to play there Scholesy.
So far he hasn't done too bad as a playmaking LW...
He is a regular, injury's have played a huge part though, whenever he's fit he usually is involved.
