I don't think it's the results people are most angry about. We have only lost 1 game in 17, and have spent most of the season in 3rd place. We aren't even that far off 2nd place now. The issue is that we are not entertaining. But I am sure it will come seen as though you can't take a team that came 7th, spend 150m and sell loads of players and expect instant majestic football and a title challenge with players such as Di Maria and Rojo coming from entirely different leagues. Maybe you have to dig deep, try and get top 4 and look for a trophy on the side - look at Man City in 2010/11 who spent loads, were branded boring and had wobbles where they looked like not finishing in the top 4, for example after a 2-0 loss to Chelsea in March 2011 they were only 1 point above 5th - finished 3rd and won the FA Cup - next season were unreal and won the league - top scorers and very, very eye catching with the likes of David Silva who were patchy the season before and not the player they looked like in Spain, becoming brilliant. .
^ That is the positive view.
The negative view is that we are playing poor all the time, we should be higher up in the league and we are not because Van Gaal is not getting the best out of his team. If you spend 150m on a team you should be challenging for the title and the fact we are 13 points off the top and below Southampton is simply a joke and there are major concerns about the future health of this team.
To be fair I believe the first post more.
