United Open Talks With De Gea ?

Oh great, now if we don't get him, the media sources that said we would automatically become gospel and Lindegaard becomes a "value signing".

I think is just a move of his agent to get a better contract with Atletico, aparently he's negotiating a contract extention as we speak

De Gea warned Anders Lindegaard in November 2010 that if he stole the goalkeepers jersey away from him at Manchester United then he would go around to his house and put a brick through the window.

:lol::lol:

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has dismissed reports of an impending deal to sell young goalkeeper David de Gea to Manchester United.

"Nobody has spoken with us. Nor do I have any idea [about this matter]," Cerezo was quoted as saying today by Spanish newspaper AS.

That's that then.

I always belived Lindegaard is our only purchase. Lindegaard, PIG, Amos.

Im excited about the prospect of De Gea but highly sceptical at the same time. I was hoping for either Neuer or Adler to be honest.

Hmm the latest scenarios I have heard since the Times story is that United made a bid that Atletico accepted but De Gea turned United down, another one is that United will give Lindegaard a chance to shine and if he fails United will sign De Gea. And now our friend Balague said it might happen in June....

If proved wrong, he will point to the 'Atletico cant do anything if 20m buy out clause paid' bit. "Well United didn't match his buyout clause"

Atleti have Asenjo as well don't they. If happens I think it could be a good deal all round.

On the one hand we have the Atletico president saying he knows nothing about it and on the other we have Balague proclaiming it's practically a done deal.

Where's Graham Hunter when you need him.

If no deal has been agreed fully, I can't see the Atheltico president coming out and saying anything other what he did.

Graham said our champ are being tight lipped but basicallly I think it's a done deal.

Ok... who was it?

From Wikipedia:

Upon signing for Manchester United David De Gea spoke of his motivation for pushing the deal through. "I have always admired Man Utd and I'm an active user of RedCafé. I spend all my free time on there and whenever I played a bad game the coach would punish me by banning me from The Caf rather than dropping me for the next game. I have never felt such pain. It was the worse 3 hours of my entire life."

I doubt we will get De Gea for 20m expecially if we end up signing the Danish keeper.

I'd never even heard of this Lindergaard chap until today.

would really hope we can get de gea but we wouldnt be talking with both keepers at same time.

David De Gea's move to Manchester United has been thrown into doubt with the news that Atletico Madrid want to loan out current number two Sergio Asenjo.

Sir Alex Ferguson is set to sign goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard – as revealed by talkSPORT back in the summer – but he remains keen on De Gea, 20.

Atletico Madrid remain adamant they will not let the Spaniard leave without a fight and the fact they are ready to let Asenjo leave on loan for the remainder of the season suggests De Gea won’t be going anywhere until at least the summer.

Asenjo, 21, has lost his place in the Madrid first team to De Gea, with injuries halting his progress.

Madrid are willing to send him on loan for the remainder of the season in the hope he can regain some form.

The move appears to rule out a January exit for De Gea but if Asenjo can prove himself away on loan – with Wigan one of the teams approached regarding a temporary move – then the young Spaniard could yet move to Old Trafford in the summer.
